Imagery by amie dalby

Imagery
The day was cold. I was freezing. The sun was out to keep us warm. The shining rays did not keep right on us that’s why we did not keep the warmest ever. In the photo I was as warm as I was going to get. I had friends surrounding me with their arms around me for the picture to be taken. I had dark green, beautiful grass that lied beneath my feet to keep the comfort of my own home.
In the photo standing is my friends Jasmine, Zach, Tyler, and I was in it too. My step sister took the photo. Standing off to the side was my friend Brennen and his friend Colby.
Jasmine had black hair and was about five feet tall she was a gorgeous girl. Brown eyes, dark brown hair.
Zack had light brown hair that carried a shag over his face; he had brown eyes.
Tyler had almost a bald head he had blonde spikes sticking out, Tyler had blue eyes is now taller than me. He is about 5’ now.
My step sister had that was short that went to her shoulders and bangs that covered her forhead, brown eyes and about medium height.
Brennen. He is a big guy. He is really tall compared to me he had blonde curly hair and I am not so sure what is eye color is.
Colby I don’t know much about.
Me. At the time the picture was taken I had long straight hair and bangs I was four foot eleven and had hazel eyes. Well the eyes are blue on the rim, green on the color and yellow near the pupil. Now presently I look different I have short bangs and short hair, everything else I have said about me is the same nothing has change.
There was no special occasion for the photograph to be taken just for the fact that friend love to hang out and love to remember the memory. We took many pictures. We were having a great time. A few moments a the picture was taken Tyler, Brennen and Colby had to go home. It was fine with me, no biggie. Not like it was the end of the world. Besides I see them all the time. Well I see Jasmine and Zach more often but, some you see more and some you don’t. You don’t need to see friends everyday just once in a while to catch up on things or when you having a really hard time.
After the photo we all rushed to the camera to see what it looked liked. It turned out great. We couldn’t complain.

goodbye poem-by amie dalby

goodbye poem

All the fun and joy we had
It’s like you were my forever lost dad

But the day you died
I was lost inside

We were very alike, almost too alike
Kind of like night and daylight

The older I get
The more like you I am

You were closest to me
In this broken up family

I am lost without you
I don’t know what to do

I looked up to you
And very much still do

You inspired me so much
Life is calling me forward, I must let you go

This is not the way I wanted it to end
But all my love to you I send

In a better place you belong
Instead of the hell you were in

Oh uncle, it was a mistake what you did you left behind your niece, your sister, and also you kid

You will stay with me in loving memory
Forever you live in my heart, forever and for always

Life is Like a Cloud by Amie Dalby

Life is Like a Cloud
Life is like a cloud. You never know which direction it is going to go; up or down? You never know how full of emotion or how dry it could be. It’s nice and fluffy sometimes, but other times it is down and flat. It have its dark times its light times.
My marked moment is when my sister’s best friend died. Let me tell you the story. My sister Amber wanted to have a sleep over with her best friend named Kara. Amber came home after the sleep over and Kara decided to go to a party with her boyfriend well Kara is a good girl, she doesn’t do drugs or anything, so her boyfriend was on mushrooms and tried to talking her into doing something she didn’t want to. So her went to the back room got a gun, while she was talking to a guy friend of hers, and he shot her in the back of the head and the bullet went straight through. She died at exactly 2:00 a.m. on Easter morning.
Once we heard that she got shot we rushed to the hospital to see her but my mother didn’t want me to see her because I guess I wasn’t ready to see something so intense. Amber went to go back in to the hospital room to see her before the nurses pulled the plug on life support. Amber was back in the room for many hours crying over her body. Then we found out that Kara was only breathing because of life support. It was so intense. Every holiday something bad happens. So I made up my mind to try and make every holiday happy, but it is just hard if you have went through as many situations as I have.
My mother asked me if I wanted to go home with her boyfriend since I was starving and very tired at the time and I came right out and said “No I am going to be here for my sister!” So we wound up going home at 11:00 p.m. at night. Sad as can be, yet happy because she lived the best life she could have. When I woke up in my own bed I was still depressed and even before that I suffered from excessive depression but this was worse. I went into my mother’s room still teary and she had some Easter presents laid out on the bed for me to have, it brightened my day a little.
For about a week I had to help my sister get to sleep because I was the only one she could count on and I still am. I didn’t know Kara too much but I knew a little bit about her. The day of the funeral my mother asked me if I wanted to go to the funeral with everybody I said no because I didn’t want to be so sad that I wanted to kill myself. That is what happens when I get really depressed. It was a very depressing Easter.
