Tears Are Falling by Kelsey Robinson

The last time I saw you
I had no idea.
You wouldn't be there
my dearest old friend.
There are many things
I wanted to say.
I would have told you
how special you are
and how much I care.
I would have told you,
I couldn't have wished for
a better friend than you.
I would have told you,
you are my best friend.
There are many things
I wanted to do.
I would have spent our time
doing the things you love.
I would have listened closer
to the things you said,
to your fears,
to your hopes,
to your dreams.
I would have hugged you
and said, I love you!
Tears are falling as I mourn in grief.

Goodbye Poem ~Cami Packard

I know you by your memories, you made day by day,
Through all your years you were happy, my parents always say.

Though i never met you, I feel you somewhere near,
As i look inside myself, I find you staring back through the mirror.

People near you laughed and smiled,
Everyone happy, not one frown on a single child.

When my day is going bad,
I feel his prescence and no more am i sad.

I look up to the mysterious clouds in the sky,
And see your heavenly features floating by.

I imagine meeting him face to face,
No others around us, in this place.

I feel the tears trickling down my cheek,
Emotions surrounds me, but i could not speak.

You slowly drift back into the sky,
That is where you belong, all mighty and high.

Someday I will see you, with family all around,
Way far from Earth, and off the ground.

I look forward to that glorious day,
You will have me back and everything will be okay.

Thats when i will be with you,
'Til then, a goodbye will do.

GoodBye Poem- Tien Hoang

by Tien Hoang
The bright green trees are all gone,
Your branches are bare, but not for long.
The snow is good, but the hot is great,
When the days wake up early and stay up late.
The winter is dull and gray,
Summer come back so the kids can play.
Bring out your skateboards and rollerblades,
When summer comes don't let the memories fade.
Remember them forever so you can say,
Kids, this is what we used to play.
But for now I have to say goodbye,
Even though I know that you will come again someday.
The winter is full of presents,
The spring is full of eggs and nests,
The autumn is full of food and leaves,
But summer is better then all the rest!
Now I say "Remember all those swimming pools and fun we had,
playing soccer and acting mad?"
I do remember and I love them all,
But summers gone and so has fall.
Now I say goodbye to you,
I hope that I will see you soon.

Goodbye Poem by Keigan Shepard

The time I had to say goodbye to my uncle.
It was a sad day I remember very clearly.
3 days before he left I landed my first kick flip.
He was teaching me how to skateboard.
We were really close we used to hang out a lot.
He was almost like a kid he liked video games we had the same hobbies.
Skating, football, basketball, any sport pretty much.

He was tall and skinny.
He was already getting grey hair at a young age.
We always laugh at him for it.
He is a great chef he used to be a chef for Café Rio and now knows all the recipes.
He used to cook for us all the time.
So done with all the good memories let’s talk about the day he had to leave.

The day he had to leave it was a sunny, hot day.
The blue sky was bright, bright blue barely any clouds.
So nice day except the fact I have to say goodbye to my friend, my uncle.
He packs up making me sad about to cry.
He is leaving to the airport I give him a big hug he promises to come back soon. He came this thanksgiving and made us an amazing dinner

Goodbye poem BY MARIA ZOLOTSEV [[GOT 2 SEE THIS]]

“Goodbye Sergeant Cuddles” that’s what I said
When you were in pieces and basically dead

The little black button was left from your eye
At this point I knew that you were going to die.

We shared many moments at which we shall praise
From our potty training to our Dora Explorer days

I’m sorry it was me who tossed you 15 feet down
I remember a splat when you hit the ground.

Then the beast’s meat-grinding teeth tore you apart
And a deep and dark hole formed in my heart

Oh, Mr. Cuddles it was so sad
You looked like a Barbie with surgery gone bad.

As the creature ripped you and left you in mounds
The powdered white stuffing scattered the ground.

Oh and your flexible fur was left torn and frill
With such baldness I replaced you for Dr. Phil

My tears were as sponge and were left quite soggy
I was so angry; I wanted to kill that dang doggy!

But what could I do? You were gone in a flash
I hugged you’re hideous fur as you were tossed in the trash.

I have to admit that you looked like a mess
My eyes stung so badly like seeing a grandpa in a dress.

Goodbye my dear teddybear, goodbye Sergeant Cuddles
The only bright side is that you didn’t leave a puddle. :]

Goodbye. . . by Brooklyn Brewer

As I walked through the door of that fourth grade classroom,
I knew it was the end. Mommy had told me the night before,
it was my very last night with you. I was moving on to bigger things,
I was older now. It was time to say goodbye to Mommy checking over
all my homework, to the books being read to me. Time to say goodbye to
the miniature monkey bars, the undersized slide, the Barbie Band-Aids for my scabs
that appeared quite often on my knees. It was time to say goodbye to all of those “little kid” things, because I’m a big kid know. I’m in the “upper grades.” Time to say
goodbye to all the joys of being a cute diminutive girl with bright eyes
and buoyant pigtails.

But the most devastating of all, it was time to say goodbye to my
most beloved friend. Such marvelous times we had together, the coziness
and warmth of your cashmere and cotton. The joy of putting in one
foot at a time the RIGHT way. The ultimate thrill of tattooing my
tummy with a ball point pen, and the ease of zipping you right up
speedy-quick to cover the work of art before Mommy sees.

So now I am forced to move on to the dreaded pants and shirt.
The frigid air that flows awkwardly up and down my legs, between my toes,
from the tips of my toes to the middle of my pelvis will be excruciating.
Without a zipper to rapidly move up and down, I will not have anything
to do while I’m lying in bed waiting for sleep to come surround me.

I know I’m older now, and I must to move on, but you are just so immensely
difficult to say goodbye to. The two syllables of that word are two
that I can hardly bear to allow come out of my mouth.
But goodbye my treasured footy pajamas, goodbye.

goodbye poem by carson knight

Goodbye poem
By Carson Knight

This is a time when I wish I could have said goodbye
My uncle is in the army
He drives an apache helicopter
And it must be so gruesome
To have the thought in your mind of seeing all those
People fall to there death right in front of your eyes

But when he comes home it might just be for a month or two but
We all love him and we all cherish the moments that he is here cause he
Could die in the field at any moment I remember the time that
We went swimming together you were doing a cannon ball and
You almost fell on me it was so funny it was one of the most funniest
Thing ever I cherish the moments we had together

I remember the time a very rare time when you were home
For Christmas I was so excited to have Christmas with you
I had the perfect present for you a picture
Of your family to take with you you opened it up you started to feel sad
I could tell

It was the day you were deported and I just got out of school
I was hurrying home to say goodbye
I missed him by a minute
I wish I could have said goodbye before
You had to fly

Goodbye Poem:McKaela Evertsen

Goodbye…. Is what you said to me, before you walked out the door. I had barley glanced up from where I stood. I saw form the corner of my eye you linger. Like you were waiting….. waiting for someone or something I thought I saw a tear in your eye but you turned and walked out the door before I could see for sure.

Now I know what you were waiting for someone to say they loved you, that you mattered, that you were special. You were waiting for me to show compassion on you. Love you for who you were. But I didn’t because I didn’t know what you were feeling.

I let you walk out the door into the frightful world. If only I would have know your thoughts and what the result of them would do. I would have enveloped you in my arms. Tell you that you were loved for you. Maybe if I had said how much I loved you you would not be as cold as ice and as pale as snow.

Maybe if I had said anything or stopped you from jumping off that bridge, you would be lying in my arms and we would be together.
Maybe if I had said you were mine I would not be saying
Goodbye to this black dark coffin.

Goodbye by Trisha Messick

Christmas come but once a year
Bringing all good cheerAdd Video
We share our joy
Like a friendly toy
The end is near
We still stand clear
For what do we all see
What could it possibly be
Life moves on
We shout for fun
Can you hear
What we all fear
Yes it is the brand New Year
You say good bye to your wonderful past
Because it never really last
The bright new future comes
Like a brand new pair of lungs
You struggle for breath that you can’t take in
But at last you win
You can begin
This is life every day
It starts but never ends.
You look forward to what will come
Yes it’s here
But you want to fear
For what will be coming next
You say goodbye just like a text
But it is really more than that
It isn’t fully intact.

Goodbye By: Curtis Romero

When I was in second grade I had 3 friends and we were all best friends.
We would play sports together and go to each others houses and stuff.
Then in 2nd grade one of them named Ryan moved to another school that was closer to his house I think.
So I was consumed with sadness and despair.
I went through 3rd grade with my other 2 friends and it was not the same without Ryan.
It was really boring he was the funny one so it was really depressing.
Then later I heard that another one of my friends was going to move to some weird state I can’t remember the name of in March.
So on about March 14th my friend Nathan left and I never saw him again. And then it was jump me and cooper in the school and it was really really really boring without Ryan and Nathan.
To this day I still know Cooper and this year in 8th grade Ryan moved back but I haven’t seen Nathan again since that horrible day.
Maybe some day Nathan will move back to Murray or close to it so I can see him again.

Goodbye Poem
By: Kilee Livingston

I never got to say Goodbye to my grandma before she past away.

It made me sad that she past away, it made feel like I fell into a big hole down into the ground and I hit my head.

I got to pick if I wanted to go or not and I went, but when I went I felt sick.

I was planning on staying, but I could not.

I always start praying every night hoping she will come back alive.

My little sister starts to fight because she did want to come.

She looked like she was going to cry, and she kind of looked a French fry.

I feel lonely peach, feeling the need to go walk slowly on the beach.

It’s like I’m sitting on a stool next to a pool.

Looking out into the sunset feeling the heat drive into me, but really I am just sitting on the chair thinking about why I did have time to say……

Goodbye!

Goodbye Poem By sam cazares

This one time I should of
Tell my dog He’s a show off
But He was neat and nice
But he didn’t like ice
All I want is him
He was nicer than my Cousin Kim
He was small and didn’t bite
Why didn’t I have the might
To tell him good bye
For I saw it in his eyes
You can tell he cried
Because he knew he was going to die
He was sadder then some guy
All because I didn’t say “goodbye’’
He had to go
Because he almost ate a goat!
We should have called him Booster
Because he always bit the rooster
He should have ate his food
Instead he ate the loose goose
If only he was tall
That way he couldn’t fall
I wish I said goodbye

Goodbye poem by Jedidiah Nielsen.

I was with my dad two years prior to the accident
with my foot. We were at my grandpa’s house the
one that is on the highway to Riverton (it’s big and
red). Well we met my great uncle their. My uncle
likes to play around the house, so he chased me
and my sisters around the house and their chapel.
The one of my grandpa’s wives said to stop running
around the house and especially the chapel (I don’t
like her at all). We had to sit through an hour and
a half of my grandpa talking. Then after that his
wives brought out the spectacular, amazing, and
miraculous food it was defiantly superb I really
liked it. When we left I was unable to tell my great
uncle good bye. Over the year’s I did not see him
and we later went to his funeral and I was
sad because I never got to tell him goodbye.

Goodbye poem by Leticia Heath

Pandemonium of Change
Saying goodbye to the summer season

A night of fear and a night of pain
The moon rapidly begins to wane
I never thought you a friend and never truly believed in you
But now I see what you, beyond doubt, mean to me
It was a night of pandemonium and never ending “whys”
Don’t watch me when I’m grounded not locked in my room but lost with no wings unable to fly vulnerable to your insufferable breeze
The orange sun slips away and night begins to sing, and like an angel weeping white, snow begins seeping into the soil of the Earth
I have said goodbye to the sun of summer season
The abstract emotion of melancholy slowly dies away
You pay me peace of mind as I stare at your exotic beauty
My doubt in you is now dry there are no more “whys”
The only thing left is bliss and the joy of being carefree
Winter how I never thought you a comrade, but a season I could not delay
But now I see you out my window bay singing sweetly your arrival with a cold winter tempest
There is no sin in loving you I see that now clear in my head
My old skin begins to shed
Winter’s spell is here again!

Goodbye poem By Ryan Stentzel

Saying the word goodbye is a
Statement of what you want to say,
See you tomorrow,
I wish I could stay.

Goodbye could be a cut off on what other people
are saying, for example “ I was running and it was hard
and it hurt a lot and…..(other person listening) Goodbye!”

Goodbye can be a frustrating word to comprehend
On what the other person is trying to say.
They could be saying, I do not care goodbye or they could be saying if you do not stop babbling and just get to the point I will go!
Saying goodbye can be a sad experience to like saying goodbye to a loved one that has passed away.
So saying goodbye could mean
More than one thing like
See you tomorrow,
Or get out of my
Face. Goodbye has a lot
Of meanings.

goodbye poem by Josh Rasmussen

Arrive at school
Mess around with friends then say goodbye
Go to science then say goodbye
Go to English then say goodbye
Go to math then say goodbye
Go to exploratory then say goodbye
Go to lunch then say goodbye
Go to history then say goodbye
Go to French then say goodbye
Go to shop then say goodbye
Walk home
Homework then say goodbye gladly to that
Guitar than say goodbye to that
Computer Games then say goodbye
Yell at parents then say goodbye
Eat then say goodbye
Go to bed then say goodbye
Go to sleep then say goodbye
Wake up then say goodbye
Shower then say goodbye
Pack up for school then say goodbye
Eat breakfast then say goodbye
Brush teeth then say goodbye
Say bye to home

Goodbye poem by: James Dubarry

Saying goodbye can be
One of the hardest
Of the hardest things on
Earth to do.

For example it was really hard for me to say
Goodbye to my parents when they left.

Goodbye can mean many different things.
For instance if you say goodbye to someone
Who you see everyday might just mean
See you later.
But if it is someone who you don’t see very often it could be
The last thing you say to them
And mean I wish you didn’t have to leave.

Some people do not like to say goodbye because it has some
Sound of permanency to it.

But for other people goodbye is regularly used in their
Vocabulary.

For some people it is too late to say
Goodbye.

Some people never get to say goodbye to a
Loved one who has passed away.
So if you don’t have time to say goodbye
Make time.

Good Bye Poem by Kayla Livingston

When the long wonderful Christmas has past
I will have been on an amazing adventure
Flying over lakes and cities
Looking at the wings of your life

People cheering and laughing too
Watching the lovable and great, Shamoo
When we head back to the hotel
So extremely tired of walking all day

I’m taking the adventure with a really good friend
But I’m afraid of course it comes to an end
I will miss my family but its okay
We will be together at the end of the seventh day

I say thanks and walk out side
To hope that my mother will soon be there
When the day is gone I say goodbye
I wait for the next day to soon arrive

Sprinkle of Water, by Joshua Rasmussen

My grandpa takes naps around 4:00 and so my aunt thought it would be funny to dosomething to my grandpa this time here’s how it goes it starts with. My grandpa was sleepingas light as a feather and my aunt sprinkled water on him. He just opens one eye and then shut itagain like a threat. Not taking the treat she did it again and he got up and ran after her so fastthat if he had a wig the wig would still be there sitting on the bed still in the shape of his head.(Now my aunt is in track at the time and thought she could out run him) But no he caught herjust around the house and put her in the stream. (My grandpa lives on a farm in Idaho that hasa stream going through the side of it)My dad told it to me when I was 7 I thought it was the funniest thing ever, I told my cousinsthey thought it was funny to. Later I found out that my mom and dad had a similar incident. My mom sprayed my dad and he picked her up and put her in the shower and turns the showeron. That is something that just ended up with our family, we think of it as a curse.

Snapshot, By Josh Rasmussen

My Grandpa is going to church. Just after he pulled the carriage out of the shed with the famous old oak and the neighbors with their over-grown cornfield. A two-story house, weeping willow in a gated area. After a little while he arrives at the red and white church with the point at the top.

Christmas Fire By: Jacob Curtis

Christmas fire.
By: Jacob Curtis

On Christmas day are house that we had for like 4 month’s. Christmas day it caught on fire because me, my mom’s boyfriend Tommy lighted a candle because the light in the garage was not working and when he left the garage like an hour later the wind blew the candle and the candle fell, it landed on a rolled up carpet and the carpet went up in flames, my cousin Jordanna smelt the smoke right before she said any thing the fire alarm’s went off they were as loud as a fire engine and every one was running around like a bunch of rat’s every one was running out. Me and my cousin Amanda were down stair’s getting batteries for a radio and my aunt Rose ran down stair’s and told us to go out side because the house was on fire and every on was calling 911 like there was no tomorrow. We live in a circle so it took the fire engine a minute when they got there every one was getting a hose to put out the house they had to call the ambulance because my mom thought she was in labor and when they got there they figured out it was just a false alarm because of all the stress. Tommy opened the garage door he grasped the hose and went in the flaming garage and when he got in the garage door slammed shut, the firemen had to get the red axe and hit the garage door like it was a piece of ham and they finally got him out . He was ok, and then they finally put out the flaming fire of death. No one was hurt the fire did not really get the hose part but we lost a lot of stuff in are garage like holiday stuff and most of it was my grandma’s she was madder than a torpedo and she did not talk to Tommy for like every maybe 3 month’s and that night we had to stay at motel 6 and it was ok thank goodness no one was hurt and we got kicked out for it and he said ok because he were already looking for a new house and the day she kicked us out we got a house and we lived there for 2 year’s I liked the house the burnt house got renovated and it looks great because what they did to it they tore down the garage and built a new one and painted the place baby blue and planted grass in the yard and finished the basement know it looks like new and when the got done the bought the house and sold it for a hole bunch of money and they sold the house and know two people and a dog lived and I think they just fine there. My family and I thinks that they will live there for a lone time.
The End.

A Snapshot of life by: James Dubarry

The feel of my warm cotton blanket comforted me while I tried to sleep through the noise my brother was making. “Shut up Shawn” I said then my brother said “I’m sorry James I never can sleep on Christmas eve and you know that” well just try I said I would never get to sleep with all of the racket he was making I think a barrel full of dynamite would have been quieter. Oh well only a couple of more hours and I would be opening all of the presents in my living room. That’s what I was thinking before I fell asleep. What I woke up to was my brother going “James...Well if he isn’t going to wake up then well just open presents without him” that’s when I jumped out of bed and said I’m up.

When my brother and I walked into my family’s living we saw a mountain of presents. The pile was so big that it could have been a national monument. My brother got half of the national monument and I got half. I remember the feel of the wrapping paper as I tore it to shreds. You could not see my floor at all because of the red blue and green wrapping paper that covered every single square inch of my living room.

The taste of the warm pancakes was amazing. I was freezing before we had breakfast but the warm meal seemed to bring warmth to me. After breakfast my family started showing up 1 by 1 first my aunt showed up you could hardly see her driving up the street the snow was so thick you couldn’t have seen a lighthouse in front of you.
After all of my family was there we started to talk about what we got for Christmas and who got the better stuff. My mom and aunt started cooking dinner. While they were cooking my uncle was setting up his camera to take a family picture.
He called my aunt and my mom in from the kitchen and the rest of my family from where ever they were. We all stood in my family room in front of the big window so there would be better lighting. I had to stand in the back right by the window and there was cold air coming in from the crack. Right then was when my uncle said cheese and ran into the picture I smiled and tried to ignore the freezing cold air that was blowing on the back of my neck. Once my uncle took the picture my mom and aunt called us all in for dinner and we all sat down and had a great big family dinner.

sledding by carson knight

This is a picture of me sleding a year ago this is my favorite picture because of the determination in it form my brother it was a freezing day in the winter it was like sleding on ice and when you would fall it was like landing on a bead of metal and when you would fall you would go sliding in the slush so you would get so wet that it would look like you just got back from a swim
So my brother started to test me by going off some of the biggest jumps on the hill some of them looked like they were as tall as Mount Everest it was one of the most steepest inclines I have ever seen on that hill in my whole life so my bro decided to go off of the jump it was the must horrible crashes I saw at the hill in Murray park that day the thrill and temptation in him was like a bull in a china shop so he started his decent to victory or falior
He was going down the hill so fast that I got a little scared he hit the take off of the jump and the sled had a sharp end to it so he didn’t go off the jump instead the sled got stuck at the top of the jump and he went flying he screamed oh no I went to grab him but it was to late he started his painful journey down the hill his face slammed into the ground
And he did what skaters call a scorpion it is a painful crash it is when the person that is in the crash his legs go up and touch the back of his head and some times it can really injure you he went sliding down the hill and he flipped a few times and he came to rest at the bottom of the cold icey hill he you could see the blood on his face he was panting and saying get me to the doctor please
He went to the hospital and he got some pain meds and the next day he was in his bed and I asked him if he wanted to go sleding and he said yes he did want to go sleding so we went back to Murray park and we had a really fun time we went to the other side of the hill and went slidding down to the pond below and then when we hit the pond we yelled oh yeah that was fun then the day ended we called our dad to come and get us
When we got hone we got some hot food we had steak and beans the perfect meal after such a cold frigid day after our food we went and played a game my bro won it was connect four after our game we had dessert it was hot coco it was one of the most fun days of my life

Camping By:Melissa Gabourie

It was summertime down in Utah it is so hot that the water is evaporating before it can get into the glass. It was so hot so we went into the mountains where it is the exact opposite it is so freezing that when you cry you cry ice cubes. We went up to get away from the heat and fortunately our LDS leader had a cabin up there. She brought up so many young women girls that in the cabin you couldn’t sand up she including me so there was even less space but I still had a good time. On the first day all we were doing was unpacking and deciding where we would sleep you had to jump for the beds because there were only 5 beds. The girls that didn’t get the beds had to sleep on the floor in there sleeping bags we had to stack them on top of each other I was one of the ones on top. On the second day of being up there we went on a hike we saw a lake it was so beautiful that you could see your own refection. Also on that day we decorated buckets so we could put our Secret Santa stuff in before we came up we filled a hat with names and everyone picked a name to see who would be there Secret Santa. The only rule was that we could only spend $1 per gift to make sure no one spent too much. We would have to sneak to make sure no one knows who’s each others Secret Santa was. I had the new girl she had a twin but I don’t know what her name was. I got some notebooks and pens they were really fancy I liked them a lot. On the last night we played a game where you pass a cup around and play a song who ever ends with the cup at the end of the song the people left and right of them get to paint your face with lipstick and the person you are doing it to cant do anything to stop it. I was really lucky at first but then I got left with the cup. Sarah my friend was the one on the left on me and my friend Megan was the one on my right they loved it and I sure did love it when I got them back. I got a good night sleep because one person didn’t want the bed any more and she offered it to me I jumped for joy. In the mourning we had to pack and get in cars because our moms was going to pick us at the church in a hour before we left we told everyone who our Secret Santa was it was so cool we had so much fun. We got all packed and everything and packed into cars to go back to the church where we were picked up by our parent that trip was so fun because I love camping and I got to with all my friends.

A snapshot of time by sam cazares

My favorite picture is a soccer player doing a rare soccer trick. Before he was going to make the trick he dribble the ball so fast the ball was getting tired and the defenders fainted. When he was doing the trick the camera’s lens shattered because of the shining of his gleets. Every body was calling his number ’’19, 19, 19’’!!!
He jumped up to the beautiful light blue sky. Like if he had wings on his back going at unbeatable speed Zeus couldn’t even catch up. He flipped the ball towards him And the ball was scared going in the soccer goal. The player was so happy when he kicked that it almost shined like the North Star in the night!!!
When the soccer ball went in the goal it hit the top right hand corner and it spines on the goalie’s head like a donut in a police’s mouth and went to the net for a perfect, wonderful and beautiful GOAL!!!!! Every body cheered ‘’hooray!’‘ What a goal what a player what a soccer ball. This one guy was such a fan that he bought the ball for three thousand dollars and the ball wasn’t even in good shape!
The background of the photo was just green, clean grass. A soccer player was behind him trying to take away the soccer ball away. But the defender could not even by a long shot. It shows him doing a backwards bicycle kick. When He kicked The ball he curved it that means he makes the ball go straight and then suddenly just turn direction, I think that’s cool!!!!
This picture was taken like a couple months ago and I like this photo because it’s my favorite soccer player and my favorite soccer team. Not even good players can do this soccer trick good because it’s an advanced goal trick rarely accomplished by soccer players!!!
In this picture my uncle is clear back in the background you can barely see him. My uncle was their team goalie in that game they never scored. The other team wasn’t even close to making a goal. You can barely see the crowd cheering but all you want to see is the player making that rare sweet goal!
In that photo the sun was all the way up and so high. The field started to sweat from the hard heat of the beautiful sun. When the sun is shining like that, that team is at their best and their unbeatable.
You can see how much skill he has because his muscle legs look like they were going to start burning! When my uncle the goalie kicked the ball to half court the player caught the ball with his durable shin. That’s when the beautiful soccer play started! After he scored the goal he started to party like a coyote catching his first prey.
Every body now a days respect him allot they see him like a hero of first class. After that one good play and goal he gets paid doubled. That is why I love this photo!!!

One frosted morning in the snow covered canyon. Up the Jerusalem curved road there is a house that cries. At one silent house on a cold mountain, the hills are singing with sorrow. Tissues are distributed one by one to wipe away the tears. Then as the cold black hearse heads sorrowfully the snow covered dusty dirt road everyone says their last goodbyes.

Then as they slump inside their fingers get colder by the minute they just feel like ice cubes that cool down extremely slow. Everyone paces in the old crackled wooden house to make some melt in your mouth hot chocolate with some sticky fluffy marsh mallows. Sitting on the couch watching the perfect snowflakes fall endlessly down making bigger and bigger piles of the beautiful white impenetrable snow. Frosting the gorgeously covered trees and sending the limped flowers back to sleep.

There are very slight chances that we go to her house we live a couple hours away so it’s hard to go out there. We would go up there for family parties like Thanksgiving, Christmas dinner. Celebrating family birthdays was fun as well everyone being together enjoying everyone’s company. Plus when there was like a foot of soft powder snow we would go sledding down the long dirt road sometimes we would have are extremely tall uncle pull us up the hill with his huge truck. But we would always have a sheet of freezing snow on are cold face by the time we got to the top of the hill. It was so cold!

We would always go with are cousins, in the summer they bring up their four-wheeler’s and we would find fun tracks. The biggest mud pile ever if possible.Their are two of them the older one is my cousin Emily and the second one is my cousin Josh they are great. We have done so many fun things we have been with them through tough times. One time we even went up a mountain with them up buy their campsite.
That was so fun we went into the lake that was there and swam for like for ever. It started to rain really hard. Keep in mind that we are in the back of a truck no seat belts or nothing we had wet clothes on too. So we had to head back down the long extremely bumpy path. That really was not even a path at all.

By the time we got back we were so cold, wet, and hungry we totally fell asleep as soon as we sat down to relax are sore body's. So we had a lot of fun times up there and I will definitely miss it up there. But we always remember it and cherish every wonderful moment spent up there. Because that is one of my places that i could go too just think or relax Plus who says we cant go up their any more!

Family Folklore By Kaylee Leclerc

A long time ago on a day so hot that the sun was sweating a family was getting ready for the biggest adventure of there lives but at the time they didn’t know about it, but trust me they would soon found out!! Here is how the story goes…

“Is that all of it??” my grandma asked me as I walked out of the house. “Yep that’s all of my stuff.” I replied. “Well then get in the car and we’ll be on our way!!” he told me. I got in the car and took out my book knowing that we had a long trip ahead of us. I and my grandparents were headed to California to visit my aunt and cousin.
I hate trips in the car there so long and boring, but of course it’s cheaper then flying.

It was about two hours later when we stopped for lunch. It was already starting to get dark which is very unusual seeing how it was only one o’ clock in the afternoon. We went to this small little diner where we all ordered hamburgers and fries. I have to admit it wasn’t very good. Better then I could have done but still not the best I’ve ever had.

When it was time to leave I gathered my belongings and headed for the door when all of a sudden I fell!! I hurried and got up and turned around to see what I tripped on. It looked like the whole floor was covered in soapy water!!! It was ridiculous!!! I carefully walked outside so that I wouldn’t slip and fall anymore. When I got out there I realized that the wind was blowing crazy bad!! It felt as if a tornado was going to come!! I could hardly walk to my car it was blowing so badly! And plus I couldn’t see because of the dirt that was blowing in my eyes! It was terrible!!
When we finally got settled in the car we hurried to get out of here because we did not want to be stuck in this terrible weather. But when we got on the freeway we instantly regretted it. The traffic was bumper to bumper for, what looked like, 50 miles!!!! It was insane!
When we finally got off the freeway it was ten o clock at night!!! And we weren’t even at our destination!!!! We were only at the hotel!! When I stepped out of the car I instantly got chills!! It was so cold that the moon was literally shivering. This is pretty crazy since we were in Nevada!
Since we’ve had such a long day as soon as we got all of our bags in the hotel we instantly went to bed. And when I woke up the sun was shining!!! And it was actually normal I was very surprised since nothing about this trip has been normal!!! And now we are on our way to California!!!
THE END!

Snapsot of Life By Tien Hoang

One day in 7th grade, I went into Mrs. Davis class. We had to pick a sport we had never done before so I decided on which one I should do. I had finally decided what it should be. Snowboarding. I asked Toren if he wanted to snowboard with me but he was going to do something else because he had already picked something else. I told my dad about it and we went 3 weeks later. We went to Brighton. We were thinking of Solitude but thought that Brighton would be better. We rented a board and boots. My board felt cool and slick in my hands. We decided to get started. When we got outside again I could feel the individual flakes that brushed my face. I put on my straps and got on a lift. It took about 6 to 12 minutes to get to the top and the lift was about 100 feet in the air. I took my goggles off to see the view. The coldness stung my nose. I should have bought a face mask or something to cover my face. I could see so much of the mountain and Brighton that it amazed me how much you can see if your only 100 feet in the air. I got to the top and looked forward. It wasn’t steep and I thought I could make it back. I and glided down about a quarter of the way. It wasn’t too hard. It was like skateboarding except with your feet strapped to the board. And there was snow, of course. I was snowboarding when my board sliced a rock. I could hear it clink softly against the rock. My board curved into a ditch that had snow all the way up to my chest. The snow felt cold against my skin. Yeah, I wore a coat and gloves but snow slipped in between my socks and my gloves. I was officially stuck and cold. Crap. I called for help but no one paid attention to me. They just ignored me and kept going. A kid about my age came and helped me out of the ditch. Then he left. I started snowboarding again and I fell into another ditch. It wasn’t bad. The snow was only to my waist. I asked for help although I knew that no one was coming. I waited and some people skidded down and they sprayed me with snow. I cursed for a bit. Then I unstrapped my boots and after a couple tries I made it up. Then I got my board, and strapped them on again. I finally made it down. I would have made it down faster if I didn’t fall in those ditches. I was stuck in each of those ditches for like, 10 minutes each. Then we packed up and left for home. Before we went home we ate at a McDonalds. It was good to taste something hot. The taste of snow isn’t all that great. I don’t know why all those kids want to lick them for.

Snap Shot Memory By:Cami Packard

My snapshot picture is from one of my favorite books, "The Quilt Makers Gift." In this enchanting picture is an old dainty, fragile woman. She is all alone with only the calming noise of the ocean to comfort her. This woman looks up into the sky smiling. A cat sits wrapped around the woman's legs. Her hair blows in the gentle breeze softly skimming her face. She feels as if she can taste the cold breeze coming in to greet her mouth. My feet are getting splashed by the down poor of the water running into the rock. If you listen very carefully you can hear the song that the waves sing as they shift, rolling over into the deep mysterious water. The tips of these mini waves were frosted with snow. With the brilliant ray of the sun playing a game of tag with the clouds weaving in and out of them. Every time the water touches her it gives her the thrill of chills running through her. The quilt maker is standing on a small rock, with perfect balance. You can see when she inhales she is taking in the lovely smell of her surroundings. There is the delicious air that has the scent of the salty taste of the sea. Then there is a different sound, the sound of restless wings, fighting through the wind. A little blue jay trying its best to not let the wind get him off course. The lady let him land on her soft hand. He was as cold as an ice cube. The lady felt sorry for this poor little fellow. So as delicately as possible she tears a piece of her heavy, deep dark blue skirt. Puts it around the bird, as a jacket to keep him warm. Yes, she is stranded out there in the middle of nowhere, but that nowhere is what she can make that somewhere.
You see right before she was here she was with the King. The King had placed this delicate old woman here, to die or to drown. This lady was one of the best quilt makers in the land. He being very spoiled demanded her to make him one of her beautiful, snuggly, warm quilts. She told him once he gave away all the things he had, then would she give him on of her quilts. The king gave her another chance, but since the King failed to give away his other treasures, she told him no.
Right after this scene millions of birds came and swept her away as a fairy tale prince had come to rescue his princess of what would of ended up to be a tragedy. These magical birds wanted to thank her for her simple kindness to one of their dear friends. (The bird she had made a little coat for.) They went and found land and placed her up in a beautiful tree. She started making all these little birds these coats. All the while she was happy and smiling. The king felt bad about leaving her out there, so the next day he went out to find her, but before he went out with his soldiers in the boats, he saw her in a tree!
This picture has one of the biggest impacts on me. This woman always made the best of where she was at and what fate she was to be led to. She was very positive. Even while she could accidentally slip in the water and drown at any moment she is still able to help this poor bird. I hope someday I will be able to have some of the quilt makers talents when I am older. She soaked I n all the many brilliant creations in the scenery she was in at that moment. It is amazing the attitude she gives. I love this book and highly recommend it.

Blue Dress Bright Future by Trisha Messick

Dance has been part of my life even at the age of eight. I was an adventured dancer and my very own choreographer. My parents never were able to get me into dance but my sisters who were twelve and fourteen years older than me. Had the most prodigious dance background you could ever think of. Plus all those costumes it was astounding. I began to teach myself to revolve on one leg and jump in the air. I was so proud of myself that I took to my sister Jennifer’s fantastic blue dress and started straight away at putting on shows and performances for non other than my fan, my mom.Remove Formatting from selection
This dress was so breath taking. It was the color of blue that I have never seen before. It was so poofy and beautiful. I would wear it as though by putting it on I was the Queen of England. When I had this dress on I knew I was the one for the dress I could feel it , hear it, see it, smell it, and possibly even taste it. I had never had a feeling or sensation like this before. It was the sensation to go and wear this dress with dignity and to be proud it was my dress, really it was my sisters but I consider myself classified to inherit it.
I started dancing the day after this event. My mom was cooking peas on the scalding stove. I came in ready to put on my first show ever. The one that would give me fans of a lifetime, the fans I would keep until my decease. My mom was standing there emitting blood and sweat to make sure my family had food to eat. I kindly distracted her as I put on my show in my newly found dress blue dress. I stated my business and waltzed on to the stage or the hallway between my front room and kitchen. I twirled and heard the cheers coming from my audience and felt the roughness of the dress brush against my smooth skin. While I bow I can smell and see how intensely my mother watched this dazzling performance. The peas were burning and the air was smoke filled. I felt that this answered my question of did I do a good job? Well my mom would have lost interest in my profound knowledge for dance and left to finish her meal but hadn’t done so but let it get neglected and take a far reaching intentness upon me.
Years continue life moves on but everything stands still around me when I am in that dress. This image brings butterflies to my stomach after a most wonderful performance I am greeted with at the beginning of each day. I go to my educational facility and learn the most profound knowledge there is for an eight year old then come home to a wild crowd or in other words my sister screaming my mom punishing it is all most wonderful. It is my fans base my building foundation. We are all the building blocks of life but this was the building block of my career. Smell is what you get when you make candles taste it was you have when you cook food hear is what you have when you make music but seeing and feeling is what you have when you can dance. You see it happen you feel the achievement and the hard earning money brushing against your skin as wear that justifying gown. This image was planted in my mind when I was eight helped me realize my future and today I realize I am destined to dance I have a career planned out. Those building blocks were really helpful and a great joy to have. Images are planted by the mind but foundations are founded by hard work and achievement.

Snapshot of Life By Keigan Shepard

One day I was skateboarding. I was trying to get some cool pictures but I had no one to take any so my sister came outside to go hang out with our next door neighbor and I asked her if she could take some pictures. She said sure I will grab my camera after I go see if my friend can hang out so I said okay.

So I started warming up doing one eighty’s which is a one eighty degree spin while you Ollie an Ollie is a really simple trick just pretty much jumping on a skateboard but you have to pop it up and slide your foot but its really simple. I kept doing kick flips and heel flips and just getting ready to see what would look cool off my ramp when my sister came out I was doing some tricks of my ramp like indies, nose grabs, tail grabs, kick flips, heel flips, and more she started taking pictures every time I went off and her friend our neighbor was to the side of the ramp and I saw one of the pictures and it looked like I did a trick over her friend. So I told her I was going to try a hard trick called a rocket air which is a hard grab where you put both of your feet on the bottom of the board and grab the top of the board with both hands while airborne. I rode up to my ramp and popped up my board just to see if it was possible and I thought I could do it so I rode up to it again and stopped not knowing if I could do it and not wanting to fall and get hurt right before football season. So I ride up to it one more time going pretty fast I pop up my board get some air do a rocket air and then I fall and let go of my board in this picture she took I am bending backwards and my hair is all over the place it hurt pretty bad. This is not my favorite picture of course it is the next one she takes so I get up to some kick flips over my sewer some one eighty’s just practicing popping up my board for a good place to catch into a rocket air.

I ride back and get ready to try again I run throw the board under me and start pushing but my board flips another failed attempt now a little disappointed knowing I can do better. I ride back and take a deep breath start running throw my board under my feet start pushing the board is perfect the sound of the wheels spinning on the hard ground is amazing I am at the ramp I get on perfect I pop it up and grab it perfect I get good air I think it’s a repeat of the last one it feels exactly like the last one. I hope its not I reach down with my board to put it under me I feel it on my feet let go I am about to hit the ground I bend my knees to comfort the landing I hit the hard road and land perfectly I look start jumping around really excited I landed!! So my sister comes and shows me the picture and it looks like I am over her friend and its almost perfect except you can’t see my face but you can see my clothes, board, and ramp my shoe laces look like they are smiling in the picture the way the are flying all over in a shape like this ) I am so amazed I did it I jump and shout WOOHOO!!!

Christmas Time!

By: Kilee Livingston

Christmas time is when my family and I go to this club that we rent for one night and we party there.

Having food and drinks, talking to family members.

I remember I myself walking into the door into the warm club and not outside in the freezing cold filling like an ice cube lying in the freezer.

I walk in and I see my cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles my parents, and all these other people that I don’t think I know.

I can spell the scented candles floating around the room like a bird soaring around in the sky.

In feel the warmth wrapping me up like a blanket.

I see presents under the tree calling me to come open them, and the food I smell turkey already cooked and brought out and rolls all hot and warm ready to b eaten, and the drinks are screaming my name “ Kilee…..Kilee, Come take a drink of us! Please!” I walk over to my cousins and sit on the sofa’s filling them suck me in as if they were hungry and I was there prey.

I sit there talking to my cousins thinking about what I got for Christmas and what everyone else got.

I look at the presents there still calling me, “Kilee…. Come over here, come open us and see what you got! Hurry!” I just sit there, then all of a sudden 3 hours later it’s time to open presents we all go over and get a chair I sit on the sofa and it keeps sucking me in.

I wait till I get my presents, then I start to open them I can hear the presents cheering... and acting all happy as if they were alive.

I open my presents and I get new clothes, make- up, and a gift card to Wal - mart I hand the stuff to my mom so she can watch it and we all just keep talking.

Its 10:00 PM, my parents are ready to leave, we get our gear on, say Goodbye to our family and we walk out the cold sucks me in like I’m an ice cube getting put back into the freezer.

We go back home.

The End!

Dancing

By: Kilee Livingston

When I was little I always danced I was in Jazz and tap and my little sister was in the same as me.

I’ve been dancing since I was 3, then I quit 2 years ago to go experience new sports.

I performed on the stage a lot, and I loved it a lot.

I miss dancing, I want to go back to dancing and wear the uniforms we have and my dad videotaping us on stage dancing and having fun.

I loved dancing and I wish I can just seriously go back to it, and still do the other sports I like doing still.

I miss it a lot and I miss getting flowers and having my grandma and my family watching me up on stage.

I love hanging out with my friends that were there and learning dance moves with them, laughing and making jokes doing tricks and just having a great time with them.

When my sister Jayme and I were little we were in our little, cute customs and we had a dance performance that day.

I was the leader of the group and we were standing behind the curtains waiting to go dance up on the stage waitin for the music to start.

We can here the audience talking and as we stood there i was getting nervous since i was the first one out to lead the group.

The director person named Becky talked for awhile then introduced to who was going to be dancing.

Then she turned the music on i leaded the group out... i had them follow me like i am a mother duck with little ducklings, as I was leading them I lead them to the other side of the stage and we were all standing there in a big group not dancing nor doing our moves with the song.

We all loooked like we were in a big puddle of mud not doing anything on stage.

The audience was laughing and then the music ended and we left the stage.

After that we said Bye to our family and went home.

The End! P.S. Hoped you liked it!!!

My family

By: Kilee Livingston

I have a great family; I have 2 sisters and a brother.

My two sisters are Jayme and Britney, Britney is 20 now with a son and a little girl on the way.

Jayme is 11 years old and she’s in 6th grade.

And my brother is Tyson; I think 35 years old married and has kids.

I don’t really know my brother, I don’t keep in contact with him he lives in a different state then I do.

And my mom and dad are older than me of course

I have 2 dogs a American Eskimo, Female, Named Lucy (nickname Fluffy, Snow White, and Luc) and a Yorkshire Terrier, Male, named Rocky (nickname Rocky road or Bubba or Poopie.

I have a beta fish (which is mine) I don’t really know his name. Then I have 2 cats a Blue Russian, Female, named P.G., and a Oreo looking cat with white soft boot patches on her paws, Female, named Mizz Kitty.

P.G. is the oldest cat that is gray and fat, and she only has 1 tooth in her mouth and she’s soo cute.

Mizz Kitty on the other hand she’s medium sized as a healthy cat should look, she’s not old, and she’s kind of mean when you get her in a bad mood or when u annoy her.

Lucy and Rocky are just my Best Friends they love to be with you.

They love to lie beside you and cuddle and my fish just swims.

My big sister is my Best Friend too, I love to hang out with her, she is going to have another baby and it’s going to be a girl.

The name they chose was Samantha Shae (her mother’s middle name) Elsea.

Her son is almost 3; his name is Conner James Elsea.

He’s a cute little boy, now I’m going to be an aunt again which I am really excited about.

Jayme, my little sister is just my little sister.

Annoying, mean, acts like she does everything, and starts all the fights, but I still love her.

Jayme can be non- annoying sometimes but when she’s around her friends she will be annoying, when I’m even around my friends she will be embarrassing and annoying.

She’s still fun to hang out with and goof around with. My mom, Jayme and I are like good goofing buddies, we love to play around with our family saying funny and mean things.

My dad and I love sports I love Softball, Lacrosse sometimes dance and I want to do Cheer leading, and football.

We are obsessed with any sport we can see or get to watch (besides golf).

My mom and I are soo funny when I and she hang out with each other we talk about Jayme and my dad all time and make jokes about them.

So yeah, there is almost everything about my family.

The End!!!!

What my family and I do mostly in

The summer!

By: Kilee Livingston

What my family and I do in the summer is A LOT of things. We love to go boating in the summer and go on vacations. Last year we went to Flaming Gorge, Lake Powell, Jordanelle, Hawaii and Florida.

I love the summer and so does my family. We have a big boat to go boating in and we go to the lakes so we can have fun see our friends and family and just swim, tube, try to water ski and just to take a break from school, work whatever people have to do.

One time we went we met our friends Rhonda and rob there with their friends and we had jet skis and the tube and the boat and the wake board so we had a lot and we got to hook the tube up to the 4 seated jet ski and we got to ride and then we hooked the tube up to the boat and my dad were trying to make me and my little sister Jayme fall off by going in zigzags apparently I didn’t fall off a lot like my sister did.

I fell off like twice or maybe three times but I’m usually the one that stays on.

My little sister and I have a great time going to tubing.

At Lake Powell we went boating and boat the wake board and we tried my sister got it for like 5 minutes, she was doing good.

I got in the water and I got the wake board ski on and then shook my head so my dad can go and right when I got up the first time I fell on my face in the water it hurt but then I tried again the second time I was almost up then the third time I tried I got up for 2 seconds and I was down back in the water.

We were all laughing, my dad turned on some music and we went for a swim and ate lunch then waited for awhile so our stomachs settle before we go tubing again.

After that I get on by myself because my sister is a wimp.

I get on and I get ready, then I my turns around and asks if I’m ready and I say yes he starts the boat and I get ready and hold on.

the boat moves to go and I the sinks a little my little sister is laughing at me because I almost sinked frontwards.

I get control of the tube and my dad turns right the tube slides to the left and I start to slide into the wake I hold on tightly trying not to fall off.

The tube slides into the wake I slide across the water like your skiing on the snow, and I start to slide off I move up against the waves that are pushing me out.

My dad slows down a little so I don’t go flying.

Then we brings me back to the middle and turns left I slide to the right really fast and my dad keeps turning my tube speeds up with air and bumps start to come up, I hit them my tube goes up.

And then I get tired and my fingers get numb and I can barely move my muscles.

I give my mom the stop sign and my mom tells my dad and he stops.

My mom pulls me in and helps me get out I get a towel we head to the dock.

And get our boat hooked into the trailer and go back to our campsite.

The END!

Tranquility at Work by Brooklyn Brewer

For five entire days I completely left my normal life and went to Girl’s Camp. A risk of entering into a tent with ten other hyper, fanatical and unusual girls who never sleep the entire time, all jacked up on Laffy Taffies and Starbursts. It was a complete fiasco. Then came Wednesday morning, when the Beehives were ready to set out on our three mile hike, up the steep hill filled with stinging metal and other dangerous plants Mother Nature has graciously given us. My small knapsack is packed with a squashed peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a water bottle, and my disposable camera all crammed in there at once.
So off we were, with our filthy shoes tied tight, our bodies smothered with sunscreen, and we were already sweating it off rapidly. My best friend since kindergarten Kaitie and I began to sing our giddy little camp song, laughing hilariously until we had no air left in our lungs. I took off my baseball hat and wiped the sweat off of my forehead with the back of my hand for the fifty-seventh time, and replaced the cap. The sweltering, blistering sun was roasting everyone, forcing us to hold the water bottle upside down for minutes on end just to get one more glorious drop of liquid onto our heavily parched tongues. The sweet savor of water was being begged for by my throat as I had to continue on with the hike that seemed utterly endless.
The smallest amount of time isn’t the millisecond or even the nano second. It was the change each and every one of the twelve-year-old girls had in their heart from hard, cold and “I hate this stupid hike and I’m going to die right here on this trail,” to warm, melted hearts expressing, “This is the place. God loves us and gave us this beautiful sight to express his love.” The incredible scene in front of us started as amazingly breathtaking, and it only got better as your eyes stretched as far as your vision would allow.
The stunning evergreen trees danced whimsically with the singing wind. The clear, vibrant blue sky smiled down at us without a single cloud holding it back. The eternal, majestic mountains stood proudly, showing off their exceeding splendor. Every single element of nature there was delighted to be living and had a purpose in their life. They were there to deeply inspire us to dream with all of our heart.
Each and every one of us had completely forgotten about the boiling sun beating upon our backs, the hitch hikers poking around annoyingly in their worn out shoes. We all just listened to the wind whistle through the leaves, tasted the inviting, pure air. How odd it was, to leave our lives of chaos, norm, and home to come here to see this, humbling, tranquil, peaceful place. The experience was absolutely unforgettable; each and every one of us wishes we could go back to the top of that hill just once more. To be reminded once more to dream with all of our hearts; that no matter how much bad there is in this world, there is always good.

Night of Fear and Some Goodies By Leticia Heath

I rolled and stretched, but found no place of peace. The blanket covers twisted around my body as I did, and I felt like I was suffocating in too warm comforter. I kicked my covers off, but felt too cold when I did. With a groan that could wake up the whole neighborhood I sat up and rubbed my eyes.

I looked around my blackened room the only light was my digital clock whose green light seemed to float in the black air. It read one o’clock. It would be one of those nights.

I let my back fall onto my bed. Bored I felt around aimlessly searching for anything that might make time pass, and maybe allow me to fall asleep. My stiff fingers touched something unfamiliar. Curious I grabbed it and brought it to me observing it.

It was my cell phone. The hard blue plastic cold to the touch, and I flipped it open. Maybe someone will call me, I thought to myself, but that’s probably a long shot since they’re probably all asleep. I wish I was able to sleep. I glared at the cell phone screen a picture of L from the Death Note series staring back at me. This picture reminded me of another picture, and without thinking I brought up my pictures on my phone.

Determined I examined every picture searching for the one I was seeking. I looked at pictures of me, my house, and my friend Mariah who is always happy to have her picture taken (most of the picture in my phone were of her). Finally I found the one I was hunting for.

It was mostly black, but you could make out just faintly the forms of a few people. Mariah was of course in it, Mia, Caitlin, and I also were all standing arm over shoulders in the dark carrying bags. Our faces were shining with smiles only truly happy people could have. Behind us the night sky was dark, and tall trees stood looming like bodyguards. We were all dressed up for that special night: Halloween. Caitlin was a demonic vampiress dressed all in scarlet red, Mariah a maid dressed in black and white, Mia was dressed all in black and her face was painted black (she never told us what she was supposed to be), and I was L, the mysteriously famous detective completed with a plain white shirt and a pizza stain from our pizza fight and baggy blue jeans. We were all armed with loads of candy in four sacks.

I remembered how my arms had ached during the long walk, and to make it worse Mariah had made me carry her bag as well. But that wasn’t the only thing I remembered, we had successfully scoured the whole neighborhood for candy. We had walked down every street, knocked on every door saying “trick or treat”, and even fought off a few ninth graders who didn’t want to go through all the trouble of knocking on doors to get their own candy. We arrived at my house tired, but not tired enough to sleep. We ate most of our candy trading with each other when necessary, and then we set off to the one Halloween tradition everyone must do: watch a horror movie.

We flipped on the TV then went up and down through the channels until finally we found the right movie: 30 Days of Night. When it comes to horror shows I can only watch the ones where a monster is the one tearing apart and eating the humans, but when it comes to a human murdering other humans I have to turn away. This show had a little bit of both. It was about vampires coming into a small town in Alaska and deciding that the people there would make a nice snack before they hit the road again. Every few minutes of the show someone had to die, and as they did they gushed fountains of blood.

After the show we all walked close to each other down the stairs towards my room. We watched every corner, and jumped at every creak we made. When we reached my room we jumped inside slamming the door behind us. We all laughed at how we were acting vampires are just fiction.

We spent the rest of the night watching each others’ backs just waiting for a vampire to pop out of my closet and suck us dry one by one of our blood. Mia, Caitlin, and I had all stayed up until we could spot light peeking up above the mountains, but Mariah, who was very lucky, had fallen asleep.

I closed my phone setting it back down on my dresser, and as I did I got a clear view of my closet. It was black and shadows seemed to come to life in my mind. Vampires were just made up creatures . . . right?

An Outlook on Life...[[READ THIS]] BY: MARIA ZOLOTSEV

A field of silence; much like a graveyard in the middle of the whispering night. Except it not night nor dawn, it is midday. The sun arose higher than the blessed heavens above, the sky iridescent with a blue light embracing its true color in this black and white world we all achieve of knowing. The gracious, giddy grass is dancing with the wind in ideal rhythm, also exposing its brilliant color and consistency. Smells of freshly fallen autumn leaves along with fluorescent flowers spread like perfume throughout the vista. The scenic view crawls with life, but at this second something emerges closer and closer; hearts began pounding with curiosity and mystery. The whistling wind howls and whispers to its companions, and in a blink all is in tranquility. This field is no longer alone; something materializes to disturb its perfect peace.
A young girl lies on the pillow-soft grass; her mind boggling with wonder and mystery while gazing into tomorrow's present. She is neither cold like frost in January nor hot like the freshly baked pancakes that awaited her in the mild morning. She lies still, with the neighboring sky reflecting in her own beautiful blue eyes. Time slowly & steadily, seeps through her sorrow hands like sand in a golden hourglass. The world murmurs to her about troubles and turmoil that steadily follow closely behind seeking the perfect chance for its salutation. As one of her calm hands arise into the faultless future ahead, the other lies as still as a sculpture in the genuine grass...holding on tightly. One single breathtaking cloud covers the shallow sunlight, but only for a split second does the girl feel the light's gentle touch disappear from her fatigue face. The radiant illumination once again settles on her lifeless body and she continues to stare into turmoil thinking and wondering to herself where the future may carry us off to. The tree's begin swaying in the most gracious of ways, the pondering wind joins a cluster of leaves in a whirling motion making a tornado appear before a storm…spinning and churning, dancing, and resembling snowflakes before a blizzard. Cataclysm and danger pair up like villains and patiently wait for their chance to grasp this moment of time.
Lightning strikes the silent hill casting a thrilling light gleaming and glowing gruesomely throughout the valley! Thunder roars like a thousand lions in a coliseum hungry for bare flesh. Rain pours creating a flood of terrible tears and catastrophe. Fires engulf lives of innocent inhabitants and swallow structures, greedily leaving no mercy for a single object to spare. Citizens scream as if professional actors in horror movies, wondering what in the world might be happening, and if decease will take over.

This all is seen through the girl's terrified bright blue eyes. She blinks in a matter of seconds.

All turns still once more, as still as this valley at the strike of midnight. The grass is spring green and smells of freshly cut lawn, so fresh that you develop a mouthwatering craving for any food in the universe; the birds flutter and chirp cordially singing a tremendous tune, which flirts with your ears, exuberant creatures walk the land, and of course, the sky is left untouched and serene as if nothing had taken place. No sobbing storm, no lightning, no nightmare. The world spins on the imaginary axis, and life rolls on. All above her there is true beauty, extreme magnificence, and independance like you've never seen with your bare naked eyes...never. Everything is described as perfect…but perfect is startled. Startled by the electric wires leading downtown to crushed, crowded cities and petrifying, poisoned, pollution…perfection crashes into pieces, a car in a head-on collision. OVER.

Just so you know: The image below isn't the precise image I was talking about. Sorry. I couldn't find the exact one, but this came close. keep in mind, that was all PHOTOBUCKET'S fault.

"No matter how far and wide you look to find the word 'perfection' you'll only ackknowledge in discovering the meaning of 'attempt.'"
