The time I went to Florida

The time I went to Florida

When I was about 11 I went to Florida with my family and cousins. It was a blast!!! First of all we went for one reason. To go on the Disney Cruise! It was the funniest week I have ever had! I loved the cruise we stopped at 2 islands. I can only remember one islands name and I forgot the other. The island was Cast Away kea. When I was at that island, I went swimming built and sand castles with my cousins. We went to this island 2 times. The 2nd time I came we went snorkeling with sting rays (stingers were removed.) The first day of the cruise I could barley walk because the boat was wobbling so much. After a while the next day I got the hang of it. My parents would always leave me with my sisters, or leave me with the kids club. In the kids club, we made lots of cool things, including flubber. After the cruise was over I was extremely sad. We stayed at our hotel for a few days. Then we went to Orlando studios. It was so fun we went on as many rides as we could. My favorite was the 3d spider-man ride. It was way fun, after a little bit this water ride that had not been open before was open! It was a Jurassic park water ride it was wicked fun! I and my other 2 sisters went on it 2 times. We went all over the park. We bought a few souvenirs at their stores. We ate at the Hard Rock Café it was in the park also it was so cool eating their. The food was delicious me and my family loved the food. When the park closed, we went back to our hotel. We went swimming with my cousins. The swimming pool was so cool, it had a water slide a tunnel and the thing was, it was outside! After that day we went to the airport I was sad that we had to leave Florida, first we went on a monorail. Then we arrived at the airport. The lines were outrageous! So we waited in line for about an hour. Finally we got on the plane; I slept most of the time. We had about a 30minute delay at Texas; we went walked around and bought some food before the flight left. When we finally got home we were so tired. We all took a nap and that was the time I went to Florida! The next day we called our cousins and they said they had a fun week also. Well that was my time I went on the Very fun Disney Cruise.

Life is like a school. Some parts are old some are new. Some are tall some are small. A school could break down but someone could re-build it. Small parts of the school could be fixed into a bigger part of the school. Some stories are small some are long. Some stories could be old or new. Schools could grow larger and larger. Some may break and get smaller and smaller. Some stories could grow bigger while some stories get smaller. Here is my story that is big!
Metaphor Madness By: Sara Parkin

“Life is a mystery” you never know what is going to come next. If something good happens all you can do is wake up in the morning and hope it is the same. If something bad happens all you can do is wake up in the morning and hope the day will be better. . . If life wasn’t a mystery what would ever be exciting. If you knew when something was going to happen before it happened what would be the point of waking up in the morning. For me waking up in the morning and not knowing what is going to happen next is a thrill. . . isn’t in yours?

· My Aunt Debbie
One of the hardest things in my life for me was when my Aunt Debbie passed away on May 21st 2006. She died from going tanning and that led to skin cancer. She tried to fight it for four years but I guess it didn’t work. By the time she caught the cancer it had lead through out her body. She was so beautiful and I love her so much. She had the voice of an angle. When she would talk her voice was so cute and little. She was the kindest person ever. The cancer took her away though and you could tell how much it really had drained her. She had fought for so long and spent so much money trying to get well. She had gone to California, Mexico, and so many other places but she couldn’t find a cure. I guess it was just her time. She died two years ago and I still have troubles with it. I don’t think I will ever experience anything harder then saying goodbye to someone you love and know you won’t see in a long time. I still haven’t forgotten what she last said to me. I bent down to her so she couldn’t talk in my ear because she was so weak she couldn’t really talk. She whispered in my ear. I love you so much and I am so proud of you I will save you a spot right next to me in heaven okay. I was crying and I said okay. She looked to were her feet were and whispered something very soft. I bent down again and asked her what. She then whispered back into my ear okay grandpa has saved you a spot in heaven right next to me. The grandpa she was talking about was my grandpa Parkin that had died when I was six years old. After that she told me she loved me again, told me goodbye, and gave me a kiss. The next day she passed away and it still makes me so sad how she died. When she finally passed she started to gasp for breathe all the sudden. My grandma, my aunt’s oldest daughter, and her husband were all in the room when it happened. So she started to gasp for air like a fish out of water. So they all rushed to her to help her but it didn’t work. She started to throw up everything that she had left in her plus blood. Then she looked at my uncle and took her last breathe. That happened at nearly 7:30 in the morning. As she passed you could just feel the relief in the room that she was finally out of pain. When she would be sleeping you could tell she wasn’t in as much pain, but when she was awake you could see her veins popping out of her for head and just in so much pain. I will never forget what she said the day before she passed. She told all of us girls including me that she will let her self pass if all of her nails (finger nails and toe nails) were painted. Also she said if her hair was done and her makeup. So we did it for her. The next day she let her self pass. I will always remember her and how wonderful of a person she was. I love her so much and I only wish her life could have been longer.

· Aje summer lee
My mom had my sister Aje when she was sixteen so
She gave her up for adoption. I never knew about her cause my mom wanted to tell me when I was older and would understand better. I guess that day came a little sooner than expected. When my mom had her one of her best friends was in the room. Her best friend was also adopted. Well they were both at a convention at a church and they had to fill out these papers about their family history and where they were all from. My sister said out loud “God I am so frustrated” my moms friend answered saying, “Why?” My sister said because I am adopted so I don’t know how to answer any of these questions and my mom’s friend said oh I am adopted too. They started talking about it and my sister said, “Yeah I am actually trying to find my biological mom. My sister told my moms friend where she was born and what day. My moms friend answered saying, “Wow that is weird l have a best friend that had I little girl she gave up for adoption and was born there on that day named Summer.” My sister started freaking out and shouting, “My name was Summer my name was Summer!” A couple of days later I met my sister the day before her eighteenth birthday. I love my sister Aje and she is the best sister I could ask for. She is so fun and understanding. She doesn’t care what people think, and has her own crazy style. Just barely on October 9th, 2008 we adopted her back into our family. Now she is (legally) my sister again. I love you Aje.”]

Some people think of life like a box of chocolates, some a football game. Everyone has different opinions and outlooks on life but life is like the seasons. Fall to winter life can be good to bad. Summer can be cold instead of hot at times. Everyone likes things to stay the same, but it’s always nice to have a change every once in a while.

The first time that I ever broke a bone

When I broke my first bone in my body was when I was only at the age of 8. This is a long story but I’ll start from the beginning. I love all types of animals but what interested me was horse back riding. My mom found the number of a highly recommended horse back riding school. We decided to go check it out and get some information on the classes and the horses.

My mom and I decided to start classes there. I English rode for about 2 years and fell in love with it. I even almost considered going into competitions and getting my own horse to take care of and practice with. When ever I would ride on a horse it felt like all my stress and worries were just washed away.

So one regular day I had a horse riding class to go to that afternoon after school. When we arrived to the stables I hopped out of the car and went right in the arena. My teacher Chrystal just finished a ride on her own horse when I went to through the door. I walked up to her and said “WOW! That horse is really really BIG!!” but my teacher wanted to prove me wrong and insisted for me to get on top of the horse without a saddle. Now people that know how to ride horses know that you need a saddle on your horse in order to ride it properly.

Since she was the teacher I thought it would be okay to hop right on the horse. I was too short to get on myself so Chrystal helped me up. While she was pushing me up, by my feet someone happened to call her name and she pushed me over to the opposite side of the horse. It felt like the longest fall in my life. It was like going in slow motion, almost as if everyone in the world stopped what they were doing to see me fall. I used my right arm to try and stop myself from falling flat on my head and breaking my neck, but instead I buckled my arm.

Chrystal came to see what happened and took me out to my mom, who was still out front. It felt like my arm broke as easily as a wishbone. I was crying a river by the time I came out to my mom. She saw me crying and jumped out of the car wondering what happened and how. She wasn’t too surprised because in the past I had sprained my ankles. My mom decided to take me home, give me some advil, and let me rest. Because it would be a little difficult to ride a horse with a broken arm. After about 10 or 15 minutes of resting I felt a lot better and didn’t think I needed to go to the doctor, so we didn’t.

We didn’t go to the doctor for about a week or a week and a half. It kept bothering me so my mom wanted to go to the doctor to make sure it was okay. We got x-rays on my arm and they told us that my wrist had a buckle fracture. They put a pink cast on it and told me to keep it on for about 2 weeks. I was so excited to have on a cast and had everyone and anyone sign it, for memory sake. It was difficult to have on and after a while I had gotten sick of it. When I slept it was like sleeping on an scratchy rock and it was extremely itchy.

After the two weeks were over I went back to the doctor and finally he took it off with a piece of equiptment that was like a saw of some sort. I can still remember the terrible high pitched noise it made, it sounded surprisingly like a dying animal. When we were finished my arm was dry and wrinkly it looked like my arm turned into a Sharpay.

Since then I have broken my left arm, my right ankle, sprained both of my ankles an uncountable amount of times, and chipped my tailbone 2 times. I’ve had a lot of experience in breaking bones in my body, I’m the one you can come to if you have any questions. Although I loved riding horses for that short period of time I stopped riding when I broke my arm. I turned to dancing and tried all different types because someday I want to be on So You Think You Can Dance.
Family
I love my family and all but sometimes they can be kind of weird. Out of my whole family my uncles are the craziest. My uncles are either talking about some funny crazy story back when they were my age (sometimes I think they still are).
We had been planning the vacation for weeks it was going to be great we were going to Lake Powell. The trip started out as usual my uncles arguing and raising their voices so loud that the whole world heard it. My uncles had been arguing about something stupid like who could eat the most jello. It seemed like I was the only one who was able to hear this argument everyone either had their music cranked up so loud that there ears were shriveling up or they had ear plugs the size of grapefruits.
So here I am listening to this stupid argument when the car stopped and we got to stretch our legs and get something to eat at the gas station. So I come out and waited for my mom and grandma and soon enough we left we kept thinking we left something but we figured it was my grandmas’ earring that she was missing so we just kept going on our way to Lake Powell. Something seemed wrong it was unusually quiet and we were all to relaxed for this to be true. That’s when we realized that we had left my uncles. We thought about just to keep going and keep the piece but we had to go back.
On our way back we saw my three uncles walking toward us with their shirts rapped around there heads like turbans and without any shoes. When they stepped into the car I immediately smelled B.O. and a cologne mix it was horrible. Then in between heavy breaths they managed to yell at us for leaving them and we just sat there and tried to take it. We finally got to the lake and almost immediately my uncles jumped into the lake. It was a nice hot day but quickly turned into a horrible rainy freezing cold day. Rain or snow my uncles still insisted that this was perfect weather for swimming. Eventually they came into the boat house. It eventually turned into a fun trip seeing my uncles in competitions like who could hold their breath the longest or who could swim the farthest or who could catch the biggest fish. The trip was very fun we got to go fishing, see my uncles make a fool of themselves, and eat amazing food. The trip seemed to only last for a few hours but eventually we went through the same crap on the way home from my uncles. When we got home no body was about to put up with my uncles everyone was yelling and shouting it was the zoo in our house. My uncles just sat there fighting, my mom was yelling at them saying that they need to quit, and my grandma was yelling at everyone for yelling it was horrible. But this is my family and I love them.

Life is like a roller coaster you never know when it is going to go up when it is going to go down. You don’t know when it will turn left or turn right. You never know when it is going to be a thrill or when you are going to go on a boring ride. You never know when life is going to be fun or have a bad part in it but whatever you will go for a ride.
Today I am going to talk about how my life went way down. Then went up, it was a week before my trip to Cooperstown New York. We were going there to play baseball. A week before we had a baseball tournament, we were playing a bad team I got up to bat and the pitcher throws it and it hit my elbow. I went to the doctor and he said that I broke it so I was really bummed.
So then I went to a different doctor and he said to come in right before we left so I go in and he said that it is broken but then… this is the up moment. He said he would have to cast it but then he said that he will let me play so I was so happy that day and I would never forget it in my whole life.
So I went to New York and I had a blast. I got to my hotel and it was awesome. We went every where. First I think we went to the Statue of Liberty then went to the Museum of Natural History. Then we took a long drive all the way to Pennsylvania. We went there and stayed in a nice hotel. We went to the best amusement park in the world. It is Hershey Park. They have rides and also they have lots and lots of chocolate.
What back in New York I forgot to tell you this we went to time square. It was so awesome. We went to M&M world it was so chocolate. We also went to the biggest Toys R US I have ever seen it had a Farris wheel in side the place it was insane. I also went to wicked the play it was so cool. I went with my mom well actually my whole family. Then we took a big walk in the park it was way fun. Then I went to Pennsylvania It was so awesome we went to the Hershey factory it was so fun. Then we went to the amusement park. My favorite ride there was Storm rider it was so fast and it was also fun. Then it had to be the Great Bear it was a fu ride I went on it with my dad he was screaming the whole time. This is my trip to New York and how my trip almost came to a stop on the rollercoaster. Thanks for reading.
