Good bye New York by Michael McBeth

Good Bye New York
I love New York City
Even though it was not bity
I have to leave tomorrow
This great wonderful city

I got to see the Yankees
Thought they should be called the bankees
I even saw a Broadway play
It was a wonderful day

Then I went to Cooperstown
The baseball hall of fame
It was very magnificent
All the players who played the game

I went to Times Square
I even ate at ESPN Zone
It was very delicious
For dessert I had a snow cone

I didn’t hit a homerun
It was kind of sad
But I did get a lot of hits
My bat was like a gun

But the worst part of it all
I have to leave tomorrow
On a plane to Salt Lake City
This great wonderful city

Broken

By Nick Riekena

Goodbye to day, Goodbye to night
Goodbye to everlasting fight
In the end we all go down
With the light all around

Let the light
Flow through us all
In the end
We all will fall
This is not the end of us
I will ride the broken bus

This life has become
The broken one
In the end
We will not cry
Going up into sky

Let the light
Flow through us all
In the end
We all will fall
This is not the end of us
I will ride the broken bus

Some say there is
No after life
But I say
They aren’t right

Let the light
Flow through us all
In the end
We all will fall
This is not the end of us
I will ride the broken bus

Metaphor Madness by Orenda Williams

Life is full of games. Any event, major or minor, is another contest in your life. Generally games aren’t planned in life. You always have to be ready to hit the ball back, because you’re never going to know when it’s going to be thrown at you. The only way to win games in your life is to maintain attitude.

When you get in a fight with your mom or sibling, you feel like you’ve lost something. Well you have lost something, you lost the game. The second you begin to fight, that’s when you lose. Instead of staying with a positive attitude, you were a sore loser and your record of that lose is the damage on that relationship. When you think back to that game, you’ll be angry, sad, and partially ashamed you didn’t play better.

Winning at life is very easy to do. Simply face things with a smile. Once you begin to win at some games, it’ll be easier to win them all. The goal of life is to be happy, and enjoy the ride while you’re on it. For every single game you win, you’ll achieve that goal until the next game. You’ll get what you deserve as long as you play, so you better play well.

Not every game is easy, and you won’t always be prepared to win the hard ones. You might be tired, in a sickly mood, have a headache, other games going on at the same time and pile all of that on top of other teams cheating, being snotty, rude, or underhanded. You can’t always win, but sometimes you can make the loss easier by accepting it and dealing with it in a way that you know won’t weigh you down later. You’ll leave with a heavy heart, but its better then leaving with an angry one.

Whenever I think about the difficult games I played, I always think to myself how I could’ve made it better. The little things about my attitude that I didn’t want to bother with then. If I could go back and take a different point on things, have a better attitude that didn’t threaten the opposing team… well my records now wouldn’t be as bad as they are. It’s hard to pull out of the moment when your enemy is distracting you with fickle things to get you going. You don’t have to be so passionate about the bad games, you can simply play them, and pass on them. Even if you don’t win you won’t have the bad memories of injustice you might have felt. It’s never good to feel wronged.

If you want to win, play hard. Play with the whole team and play in a good mood. If you want to lose, stay in your bad mood. Life is a game and that isn’t changing anytime soon. A record can never hold back your skills, so focus on the game you’re playing. If you don’t care if you win or lose, good for you… But everyone else sees only the points.

Good bye Poem
By: Court Adams

You left to Pennsylvania
You were in such a hurry
Don’t turn into a vampire
Wait that’s Transylvania

Looked like you were in a panic
As bedding don’t use a hammock
At least you had Amanda
She kept you a wake and away from commando

You left at nine
You left me waiting in line
I was on the phone with you
I wish that I could see you to

You finally arrived
I was glad that you survived
You finally saw your house
Then you saw a mouse

You went to the town
Then found a wedding gown
Wait you are already married
That is why you left me

Goodbye sister
You got married to a mister
Goodbye sister
I’ll see you in six years

Good Bye Friends by Chandler Hendrickson

Good bye friends
We had a good time
I might see you sometime
But today we will leave

I go to one place far away
You go to another that’s farther away
We will not see each other
It may be a while

When we were kids we had fun
Now we are going away
We would laugh and play the day away
The years have gone fast now

The years went by fast
Now you have left
My other friends are here still
Yet you have left for somewhere else

I made new friends
They are both nice and kind
One is tall he is cool
The other is small he is funny

I hope I see you soon
It will be fun to se you again
We can talk for a while
But later you will be gone
Life is Like the Ocean.
simile.
Life is like the ocean it can be calm and peaceful, but dangerous and scary. The ocean can shine with light, life can all so bright. Life is packed with many bad things that can eat you up and the ocean is packed with sharks and sea creatures that can eat you to. The life can lead you no were with you make a mistake and so can the ocean. Ocean water can evaporate or flood just like life can rebuilt it’s self and start out fresh with new friend and better choices.
When I was a little in grew up in Croatian and I learned to swim quickly. That is how I got this idea form what happed to me.
One day I went fish with my cousin and my uncle we were on a small boat by our self we the through a big net into the water and waited for fish come get trap.
We waited for a long time, but what I we did not know was that we were no were near the net. Then I said “Guys were the net”. My uncle looked around for it but it was not there. My cousin was supposed to be watching it but he was asleep. I was the navigator and I fingered out that we went far north form the city. We made a big mistake and our boat was I the middle of the sea and thing got much worse as we were trying to get back a big wave can and they start to take us always slow we tried to get back to shore but we only had one paddle because my cousin let it on shore so my uncle used that one paddle to take use back and I toke my flipper that I was going to use to snorkel but I used them to get back to shore. But it got hard wind started to and I had an idea.
Because the wind was blowing north we started to go southwest of where we were. It helped out allot. We were just about to make it to shore when the paddle broke. I gave my uncle my other flipper but the waves kept pulling use back. So my uncle had to find where we were so he used he GPS to tell use where we were. We were close to island just 2 miles away from our home we paddle to that island and we were safe.
My cousin was started to wake up and when he did I pushed he into the water he had no idea what happened. Then we got home my uncle said “It’s kind of like life if you make one mistake you will lose your self.

I Wish I Could Say Goodbye by Orenda Williams

I’ve never tried to say goodbye;

I have only sat

and tried not to cry

Today, I’ll let my thoughts flutter from me

The pain and despair;

I will be shortly in peace

Please hear me say goodbye,

please, please leave here

So you won’t have to watch while I can’t fly

All those nights I lied awake

Body exhausted, mind turning

Sometimes selfish, sometimes for your sake

You will return

but only in thought

while their eyes burn

I’ve been filled with lies about you;

I’ve been looked at with pity

Because I have no clue what is true

I promise I never fake my smiling

but for what I’ve seen

I have no problem lying

I wish I could say goodbye…

Yet until I know what to say it to

I’m holding on for life

I wish I could say goodbye

I don’t want to let go of what I shouldn’t

so just to be safe

I’m holding on for life
