My Snapshot Moment was this picture right up there ha ha we'll anyways. The reason why I chose this picture is because there is so many ways to describe it. The only person that's in the picture is me! :)

I took the picture all by my self!

It was a normal school day. The reason why I wanted to take this picture is because I wanted to take it for my mother, because she needs some pictures from me to see how old I look now. She doesn’t know what I look like so that's why I am sending her this is another reason why I am sending her this picture. She's in prison she wants to see what I look like now :(

What happened before I took this picture? Brooke handed me the camera after I took the Picture. Taken I took so much pictures of me for my mommy. What happened after I took the picture? I looked at the picture and I said it was cute because I look like my beautiful mother. I miss her.

When was the photograph taken? After a boring day of school!

Where was the photograph taken? In my bathroom :D

Why was it taken? It was taken because I wanted to send a nice picture of me to my mother and show her how old I had got and how I look for a 14 year old girl.

What I saw when I immediately took the picture i saw the Black lance of the camera and I saw me looking at the little small lance. All I smelt was burned hair like someone just got done straightening there hair (ME). What I tasted was the dull piece of gum i had sense first period of school, and what i could hear was me talking in my head saying "I miss my mommy I miss her make this the best picture for her". And what I felt was the cold solid wall on my behind and all I feel my legs crawl up with chills from the cold purple wall and holding the cell phone in my hand and me pressing on the camera but as fast as I could so I can get this done with. And what i felt the most was my brown Van's making my feet sweaty because I didn't wear any socks because I was wear short shorts.

This picture reminds me of when I was getting told all day at school how cute I was and how I can pull of shorts, And how everyone said that my taste is cute skater and Girlie.

I may have the style of a skate girl a tom boy but always remember i can hit off the style of a girl a Girlie girl. I love this picture because it was a special because I was all dressed up and I really don’t dress really girly but I was happy how people thought I was pretty without the skater tom boy look. But I love style no matter what :)

Getting to Know You by Michaela Allen

I love music and I could not live without it. I listen to music all the time, whenever I can! I could just sit for hours listening to music. I mostly listen to the radio, and my favorite stations are 107.9 and 97.1. I like these stations because they play music that I love and they play a good variety of music. They play lots of new songs, but they also play songs that are a little older, and I like that. I love so many different songs so it is really hard to pick a favorite. One of my favorites that I like a lot is Poker Face by Lady GaGa. It is a really great song and it is really catchy and gets stuck in your head easily. Maybe that is a bad thing but I don’t care if I have it stuck in my head because I love it! One of the main longs in the song is “Can’t read my, can’t read my, no he can’t read my poker face.” Sometimes when I listen to this song it makes me think of people playing poker with masks on. I will listen to this song anytime no matter what mood I am in because I am always in the mood to listen to it! I change favorite songs like every other week, though, so I will probably get sick of it soon and love a totally different song next week.
My partner, Camille Brantly, likes all different kinds of music. One of her two favorite songs is called Bella’s Lullaby. It is an instrumental piece, so it has no words, and it is a very calm song. It is in the movie Twilight and it falls into the musical category of classical. When she listens to this song, it makes her think of somebody playing the piano while swaying in the wind. Camille’s favorite time to listen to this song is when she wants to feel calm. Although Camille likes this song a lot she does not have any memories or dreams associated with it. Her other favorite song is called River Flows within You by Yirumna. It is another instrumental pretty song.
Music is a huge part of many people’s lives. Some people sing or play music for a living, others get inspired by music, and some people just listen to it daily. It is so amazing because there are so many different styles and kinds of music. There are so many songs out there and they are all so different. Life would be dull without music to liven it up. I personally use music in at least two ways every day. I am taking choir at school, and I listen to music all the time. I also play the piano, so that makes three things that just one person does that involve music. I am even listening to music, right now while I type this memoir. Music tells a lot about a person. What type of music they like to listen to, or like to sing, really does reflect their personality, and what kind of person they are. Music can also have a big impact on people’s moods. Upbeat and exciting music puts people in a good mood, but depressing slow songs usually put people in a really sad mood.

Getting to Know You By: Jessica Quiroz

Music is my life and I don’t know what I would do without my music!!!! Pop and rock is the type of music I listen to the most, but if I like a song that isn’t pop or rock I still listen to it. My favorite radio stations are 97.1, 107.9, I like those stations because they play all the music I listen to, for example The Fray, Kelly Clarkson, O.A.R. and Maroon 5!!!! The song that I choose is Won’t Go Home Without You by the best band ever Maroon 5!!!!! I choose the song Won’t Go Home Without You because it is by favorite song ever and it makes me happy. The reason it makes me happy is because it talks about a guy and his girlfriend breaking up, but then the guy realizes he loves the girl so he starts looking for her and he isn’t going home until she goes home with him. My favorite part in the song is “It’s not over tonight, just give me one more chance to make it right. I may not make it through the night I won’t go home without you”. The reason I like that part of the song is because I think its cute how he admits he messed up when they were together, but he wants another chance to make things right and he isn’t going to give up until they get back together. The weird part of the song is that he keeps saying that he isn’t going home without her, but in the video he finds her at a restaurant about to kiss another guy and he sees her and does go home without her.
My partner was Michaela Allen and her favorite radio stations are 107.9 and 97.1, her favorite kind of music to listen to is pop and rock. The cool thing about Michaela is that we both like the same type of music so we can talk about songs we both know without having to stop and explain who sings the song. Michaela choose the song Poker Face because it is a fun song to listen to and it has a good beat to it that you can just get up and dance. I think the song Poker Face is a good choice for Michaela’s favorite song because it has a funky, fun, energetic beat to it and Michaela is a very fun person so it goes very well with her character. Some words to the song are “Can’t read my poker face”. Those words remind me of Michaela because I can never read her mind and never guess what she is thinking, but she can always read my mind which gets very annoying!!!
I think we all have something in common and it’s that we ALL listen to music. It doesn’t matter what whether we listen to pop, rock, rap, or country, music is part of all of us. Some people get inspired by the music they listen to, others music makes them feel better when they are going through a tough time. The point is that music makes life more enjoyable because we get to listen to others people songs and their meaning on life through their music. To me music is a big part of my life because the music I listen to is a big part of who I am. You can get a pretty good idea of what I’m like and how my personality is just by knowing the type of music I listen to. I think it’s the same with everybody else too, if you listen to the music they listen to than you can get an idea of how they are and what they like. I don’t think people realize that music is a huge part of their everyday life; they don’t realize that music inspires you, helps you through tough times or just helps you have fun!!! I don’t know how life would be without music and I really don’t want to find out, but I’m sure it would be boring. So we should all appreciate music and realize what it does to us.

Which kind of music do you like best? The kind of music I like best is hip-hop. I like hip-hop because when I listen to it, it makes me feel really good. Music to me is described as something that I do when I am board. Without music there would be nothing to do. My favorite song is called “1, 2, 3, 4,” by Plain White T’s. This song makes me feel really good when I listen to it, I don’t know why it makes me feel good, it just does. Some of the words in this song are “There’s only one way, two say, those three words, four you……………………….I love you” when I listen to this song I like to count with it like when it says one two three four then that is my favorite part of the song. There are no memories or dreams associated with this song , I just like it a lot and I like to listen to it right before I go to bed, when I am getting ready for school, and when I am doing homework and in gym.
The partner that I chose to answer these questions is my sister Jessica. She likes rock best and she said that she defines music something she does when her friends come over. I don’t know what she means but that’s just what she said to me when I asked her about it. Her favorite song is “Check Yes Juliet” by We the Kings. She loves that band and when she listens to it she said it makes her feel wonderful because it reminds her of her boyfriend, just because they both like it alooooooooooooooot, she can never get over that song. Some words or phrases in this song are “I’ll keep tossing rocks at your window” and I don’t know why she likes that part so much, but that is her best part of the entire song I don’t know why she is just crazy. If your were to come to my house four at least two days you would know for sure that it is her favorite song because every time I go into her room and she’s in there then this song is playing on her stero.
Some ways that these songs are the same are that they are both played by a male and they both have a reallllly good chorus with them, some ways that these two songs are different is because one song is rock and one is not rock. When ever I like start listening to Check Yes Juliet I always change the song close to the middle because I am so annoyed of it cause my sister listens to it twenty four seven and my room at home is right next to hers. I hate it, well I don’t. Some reasons why music is important to me is like I said without music everyone would have such a boring life to live in.

There are so many ways to get to know someone. And this week Ms. Lafortune has chosen to do it music style. There are so many kinds of music that I enjoy listening to. My favorite kind of music that I like best is probably country and alternative. My favorite country singer is Taylor Swift. My favorite alternative rock band/singer is Panic at the Disco. There are way too many songs that I love but I had to narrow it down to one, I couldn’t choose one but I chose three of my favorite. My all time favorite songs are, You Belong with Me by Taylor Swift, Your Call by Secondhand Serenade and none other than 7 Things by Miley Cyrus. I listen to these songs because they mean something to me. Not because I just like this song. I do, but also because I can refer to it and relate to them. You Belong With Me makes me feel like guys always for the girls with good looks. They don’t care about the girls personalities. That guys don’t realize what they have until it’s finally gone. Your Call by Secondhand Serenade makes me fell loved. I really don’t know why but the meaning of the song is a boy/band singing about a girl and telling that certain girl that he was born to tell her that he loves her. 7 things makes me feel like when you dump or get dumps, it still takes time to fully get over the person and loose all the feelings you had for the person. If you really listen to the lyrics, the song will really make you feel something. You belong with me lyrics are “But she wears short skirts, I wear t-shirts, she’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachers, dreaming about the day when you wake up and find that what you’re looking for has been here the whole Time.” Your call lyrics are “I was born to tell you I love you, and I am torn to do what I have to, to make you mine, stay with me tonight.” 7 things lyrics are “ the 7 things I hate about you, Your vein, your game, your insecure, you love me, you like her, you make me laugh, you make me cry, I don’t know which side to buy, your friends are jerks when you act like them just to know it hurts, I want to be with the one I know, and the 7th thing I hate the most about you, You make me LOVE YOU!” When I listen to these songs I get pictures in my head. With “you belong to me” I see one girl and one guy that are best friends and they girl likes the guy but the guy is always with other girls that are more popular than his own best friends. She feels like they could only be friends and nothing more. With “7 things” I just see two teenage couples fighting and breaking up and the girl is all depressed. And the guy doesn’t really care but the girl still has feelings for the guy. With “your call” I really don’t see any picture other than just wishing that someone was actually born to tell someone that they do love them. I always listen to songs when I really feel like it. With You belong with me I listen to it usually after school because I was around a lot of drama and issues like a girl liking a guy but the guy not liking them back. I listen to & things when one of my friends breaks up with their boy friends/girlfriends but I still know they have feelings for them. But not only for that reason have I just listened to it when I feel like it. And with Your Call I listen to it when I am way depresses and had a really bad day. And trust me I have a lot of bad days.

My partner is practically one of my Best Friends. I love her. Lucy Clark is awesome. She likes listening to Hip Hop and Rap. Lucy LOVES the song Forever and Always by Taylor Swift. This songs makes Lucy feel happy and sad at the same time. She felt like this because what her boyfriends says to her and it’s a break up song so she just thinks about him, but this song always makes her happy because it has a good beat and lyrics. “I was there when you said forever and always, did you mean it baby? I don’t think so.” “You looked me In the eye and told me you loved me.” When Lucy listens to thins song she gets a picture of her and her boyfriend going through what she does in the song. Lucy gets memories of hearing Hunter (her boyfriend) tell her forever and always. She usually listens to this song when she and her boyfriend are fighting or when she is sad. But I hope Lucy doesn’t have to listen to it a lot because I would never want to see her hurt.

See, music isn’t just lyrics to a beat. If you really listen to the lyrics of the song, then you will start feeling something. It might be a weird feeling but once you truly get into the song, you will realize that music has a lot more meaning to it. As you can tell Lucy and I we like different types of music, but we still Love each other. We don’t completely like different music because we are always listening to the same songs but we have different meanings to the same song. Because we are both different people.

When we listen to music where do are minds go? Think about your favorite song. How does it make you feel? I have 2 favorite songs. Both of them make me feel calm inside and are beautiful. They are River Flows in You by Yirumna and Bella’s Lullaby by Carter Burwell. When you hear these songs your thoughts immediately are calm. You can see a person playing a piano in the middle of a warm field. Each of these songs has a little spark in them so they are amazing to hear. The genre of these songs is classical. If you ever need to chill look up these songs.

“I asked her to say and she wouldn’t listen, its not over tonight, jut give me one more change to make it right. I may not make it the night; I won’t go home without you.” I interviewed Jessica Quiroz and if you don’t already know her favorite song is Won’t Go Home Without You by (the best group ever in her opinion) Maroon 5. The feeling it gives her when she listens to it is happy. “It is so cute!” she says. When you listen to this song the picture that pops up in her mind is a guy chasing after his girlfriend. This is definitely a song that you need to listen to 24/7 because it’s just so good.

Music is made to touch your feelings. In history it has been used to lift up spirits and have people rejoice for what they have. We hear music everyday all over. No matter where you are you can always hear the music. Every culture has there own unique type of music. If you went to Africa or Europe you would hear there music which is special in its own way. I’m so glad I have music in my life because I can always depend on it to make me feel better inside.
