My future fantasy!!!
By Callie Farr
Well today I started to write about my wonderful and awesome life that I’m living now I live in California because I moved from Utah to California so I can be a pro surfer, I graduated from California academy, its pretty fun and I’ve learned a lot there. And before I moved I was a veterinarian and a horse trainer and still am just in California.
But anyways I’ve always dreamed of being a pro surfer and I am today I live in a beach house right on the beach in san Diego it’s awesome and I love it so much! Its really big and has a lot of amazing things to it like it has a indoor swimming pool and outdoor swimming pool it has a soccer field in the back and in the basement it has a movie theater and its really big and in one room it has a arcade in it with like dance dance revolution, and pinball machines and more fun and exciting things in it. It’s a really fun place in the house and its good so we don’t have to spend all of our money somewhere else were there is an arcade place. And were starting to put in a horse track in the back yard cause me my husband and my kids really love horseback riding as well. Also I got married to this guy named Wyatt he has a brown shag and brown eyes and he is also a pro surfer to, he is the sweetest and funniest guy I have ever met.
I have also done a lot of fun and amazing stuff, before I was a pro surfer I won first place in a surfing competition was a pro soccer player and still am today, and I have an a amazing family I have three kids I have two boys and one girl and she is the youngest so she gets teased but they still have fun together. But they are all very helpful with me and with each other.
Our family does a lot of fun thing together like go to the movies and go swimming, surfing, and play soccer and fun stuff like that but I’m going to Hawaii for a surf competition so there really excited.
They love to go to my surf compositions because they get to watch all of the people competing and they say they would love to learn how.
Also my older son he is 14 and he won first place in a snowboarding competition and my daughter 12 won a dance competition and my other son one first place in a skateboarding competition.
So that is my life living in California with my family and all the fun stuff that we do. I’m really excited for it and hope I have more fun and exciting things in my life. I love everything I do and everything I do with my family and hope to live a long and awesome fun life with them.
Future Fantasy
BY THEO GOCHNOUR

Its 2023 and I am now 28 years of age. I live in Portland, Oregon with my wife Anne and my two kids Sydney and Chase. I am a famous architect that designs skyscrapers and stadiums all over the world. I went to the University of Oregon for college for 5 years. I now have a Masters degree in Engineering and I also studied drafting and design. Now I am the owner and head man to one of the biggest architect firms in the world! My co-workers include Jonny Hummer who once went to my Junior High School. We all work together happily here in Oregon. My wife is a Pediatrician and loves what she does. She gets days of a lot so she can take care of my two beautiful children Sydney(4) and Chase(2). My kids love their life and I love them.
After I finished college I could have gone back to Utah but I was flabbergasted by the miraculous Oregon beaches. I had to live here. So I was determined to build the most beautiful home on the pacific coast. I worked with my architecture firm, “Gochnour & Partners” and built a three story beach house on the Oregon coast. The first floor includes an indoor gym, a living room, and a kitchen. The second floor includes five bedrooms, one for each person and an extra if we have another kid. The third floor is like a basement. It has a lounge area and a spa. Right above that not considered a floor is an indoor/outdoor pool with a retractable roof. When it was finished I did believe it was the queen of the pacific coast.
My architecture firm here in Portland has 26 different offices all around the United States. We have 1 office in Canada and one in Spain as well because of my fluent Spanish. Jonny Hummer and I co-own the business and we are intense competitors with Marcy Harris’ “Different Angles”. Her firm back in Salt Lake City is great at designing building and homes. Our business is called “Gochnour & Partners”. Headquartered here in Portland it is a great place for my business to take off.
Here in Portland there are lots of things to do. When it comes to athletics my wife and I play on a co-ed community soccer team. We have a long-term baby sitter for when we are at work and at soccer games. Even though it seems like we are gone a ton, we still spend hours of quality time with our kids. Also I sometimes participate in a legal racing league in Eugene Oregon where I originally went to school. I drive a Subaru Wrx Sti in the racing league. I am one of the best racers in the state. I have a great life so far.
Over the summer we are going to Oklahoma on vacation. It doesn’t seem like that desirable of a place to go, but I want to show my wife and kids where I went on my mission. My kids may not appreciate what I have to show to them but they will always remember our trip. I want to show them the houses I taught at and the places I went. It will be a great experience.
My life is not anything like I thought it would be. I have a beautiful wife, two kids, and a beach house on the spectacular coast of Oregon. I got a college education and now my architecture firm “Gochnour & Partners” is doing really well. My life is everything I wanted and more. Occasionally I miss Murray but I am off to bigger and better things. I am happy about my life.

Future Fantasy

In the year 2023 I am now the age of 29. I live in Saint George Utah because my company has a firm here. I got married 8 years ago my wife’s name Mary Hummer her maiden name is Smith. I have 3 kids 2 boys and 1 girl. There names are Bobby, Mat and Samantha, her nickname is Sam. Bobby is 2 Mat just turned 4 then Samantha is our oldest she is 5 1/2years old. I am very proud to say when I was younger I went to my dream college and my dream job. I went to BYU for 5 years and now am an architect! So now I work all of the weekdays. Which I am very glad I don’t work Saturdays. My wife Mary is a Lawyer. I had a job at a mall and she worked in a store just across the hall and we met! So as I said before we have been married happily for 8 happy years!!
Today my work for dealing with playing the clarinet paid off. I play every now and then at a concert hall. And it is great I get paid for something I just love to do. So now Mat and Sam now play instruments and I am helping them. They both play the clarinet like me. One thing I like about her she plays 4 different instruments the piano, clarinet, violin, and guitar. So we are teaching our kids to learn instruments and how much fun it is. Even though they are learning these instruments at a very young age this will help them in life. They do say if you play an instrument you do better in school.
Not only do my kids play instruments. But they all play a sport my 2 boys play baseball which came down from me. Then my one girl plays soccer which she got from Mary. So it is hard to get to all the games but some how I always make it to them. I do have to say that going to all these games are great I love seeing my kids playing sports.
For my mission I went to Germany. Which is where I have always wanted to go on my mission. Which I think is cool because just like Tyson (my brother) I got to go exactly where I wanted to go. Unluckily my little brother Preston did not go where he wanted in fact one of the few places he did not want to go Spain. But like all the missionaries he came back happy and with great memories. At Germany I had a great time! Now I am very glad I took those 2 years of German in Junior High. Because man did they help me on this mission!
Well just like I have dreaming for as long as I can remember I got my dream job the job architect! Then also my wife Mary also got her dream job. She is a lawyer and is really good at her job. So with both of those well paying jobs we are in a great financial place. Our house is not a big one but then again you cannot really call it small our just a regular sized house. So it is between the size of a large house and just a normal one. In our house we have 4 rooms all the 2 boys share a room but Samantha does not. The boys get mad at me for letting her have her own room but she gets her own. Of course 1 of the rooms is mine and my wife’s then. Then of course the guest room which as you can guess our guest staying while they with us.
Theo who is an old friend of mine in Junior High now own a business together. Even though he lives in Oregon but we still own Gochnour and Hummer is our business which we do architecture. Theo and I together have designed skyscrapers all around the world and stadiums too. We have 26 offices in the United States. Then we have 2 out of the U.S. one in Canada one in England. We are slowly expanding in our company.

I’m twenty-two and I have one kid. Her name is Sadie she is a really sweet kid. I live in California. My house is not really big but is good. My husband’s name is Jake. He works away from home in another state. When we know that he’s coming home we make sure the house is clean. He loves to come home in a clean house with his kid and me.
We plan a schedule for the day and it has all sorts of things. First we went out to eat for about two hours. He took us to the store to pick something out for his arrival. We usually leave round thirty and get back around four a clock.
We took a nap for thirty minutes. He had a surprise for us we didn’t know. He had a schedule to. We had no Idea or we would have let him do his first. We had a long day the day he came home. We were so tired that we slept in the spot we were talking in. but another day is coming to an exiting start.
I work as a nurse in Primary Children’s Hospital. My girl is not ever left alone. We take her to the babysitters. She has a wonderful time. When we pick her up she just talks about her whole day is so funny. She doesn’t stop talking until its time to go the bed.
One of her friends gets tended at the same babysitter. Her mom calls me all the time and asks me if my girl never stops talking. She has the sweetest voice. It’s so fun to hear her talk about her day. Some people think we don’t have enough to have a kid. We both asked Sadie and she says were just fine.
We take a vacation for a week each month. We don’t ever forget our vacation and it’s always somewhere fun. The last vacation we went to is Hawaii. Sadie just loved the trip. We bought some things to have to remember the great time. I don’t think she will ever forget the time we had in Hawaii. She says she wants one of our vacations to be in New York. I said we can probably go one day and it may be next month.
I have to go to school for two more months. I’ve been going for about five years. I still have time to play with my family. We often have family get together in the summer.
On Friday night I take Sadie shopping and let her choose all of the wonderful cloths she has the biggest closet you can have a room in there she chooses about five shirts one pair of shoes and a little bit of other stuff.
I know she has a great life. I don’t think there is anything she wants to change about it. I have a great life to. I really hope Jacob likes his job. That’s how my life is.

Goodbye poem By:Sierra Nordahl

fvGood bye being a kid....

Good bye playing on
the play~ground for recess
break, playing tag tell
you side aches.
Laughing in school and
messing around,
having that little crush
that makes you frown.
You didnt think time
would go bye so fast,
but look where your at.. your
saying good bye to the past.
Hello working hard fo
r 7 hours straight then
only getting a 30 minute break.
As you see you cant mess
around, and its not
just a smile upside down.
They brake your heart
and make you cry
wow so much time has just flown bye.

my family folklore

Family Folklore-by Alex Johnson
Alexandria

This past summer I and my family went to Richmond Virginia for my family vacation (well at least for my dad my two sisters and I) and also for my cousin Ryland’s wedding. One of t he crazy things that happened to me on my trip was when I had just gotten off the plane in Maryland and was helping my dad get the luggage when he told me I didn’t need to help him anymore. Well he had the luggage in and it wasn’t right so he tried to fix it and a cop came up and got mad at my dad for taking too long. And my dad said he was sorry that he was taking too long and that he was just waiting for the driver (ryland) and the cop yelled at him and said that he was being a smart mouth and was lying to him. The cop was trying to arrest him and Ryland came to the rescue. I was so relieved that my dad didn’t get arrested. The drive to the hotel took about 3-5 hours because you have to drive all the way from Maryland to Richmond, Virginia. We stayed at a hotel that had two queen size beds, one bathroom, a small TV, and bedside table. There also was a pool outside (that I had packed in my suitcase my favorite swimming suit because I was so excited) that wasn’t ready to be opened yet. (And wouldn’t be for the whole trip). I helped set up the wedding stuff that would be in my aunt and uncle’s (Mark and Sherry) backyard. It was so awesome we also grabbed logs because after the wedding dinner there would be a huge bonfire. There were also some marsh mellows, rope flashlights, helmets, and swimming suits.
Life is like a Book Bag
By: Marcy Harris

Life is like a book bag. You never know just how much you can fit in it before it rips and falls apart, and everything that you've been dodging reoccurs forcing you to deal with it There's only so much one person can take before they crumble. Tension can tear you that nothing but affection and you nearest and dearest can help put you back together.
Everything is just so hard. Especially when you have the pressure of your mom in the background telling you that anything lower then an A+ is just not acceptable. Since nothing be low an A is acceptable I have this weird thing in my mine that anything below an A is failing. I know it’s stupid but I have to think this way just so I don’t go below an A and upset my mom.
I want to become an architect but my mom wants be to be a judge or a lawyer, but I don’t want to be that. She thinks that with my grades I can do something that is really important. But it is not what I wan to do. She always that she doesn’t want to keep me away from my dreams, but she kind of is.
The other day my mother asked me where I wanted to go college. I replied “BYU, or BYU Hawaii”. When I said that she said that” a girl with my grades should go to Harvard or maybe a Historical Black College”. I wanted to go to a place that is close to home like BYU is, and a good college that I like.
Impressing others is just too hard and impossible. Trying to get others to be happy with every little thing that you do will just make you rip and fall apart. But making yourself and others happy will keep the stitches from ripping and letting lose.
