Family Folklore by Mary Jacobs
On my family vacation to Jordan ell we brought our friends and family. We had four jet skies. It was also really windy there. My cousin went with us and there little kid did to.
Jason didn’t like the jet skies so we put air in a tube. After an hour or two it got really windy. The tube started blowing away. It got too far and we could not reach him.
His big brother and sister took a jet ski out to get him. While we were out there the Jet Ski tipped over. Jacob was the one driving it. He was swimming trying to get to the Jet Ski.
After five people out there trying to get the three year old Jason magically a boat came. It picked up Jason first because he was the smallest. Then they picked up my big brother Adam. The second to last person to pick up was Rachel. She was holding on a rope, but she told me that it felt like she was going under the boat. If she let go of the rope she would have went under the boat and drowned. The last person to pick up was Jacob. He was on the other side trying to get the Jet Ski.
While they were on the boat they told them the only reason they were in the water with the boat is because they knew there would be someone that needed help. The dried them of as best as they could. We asked them if they could drop Jacob of by the Jet Ski.
The guys driving the boat asked John were the camp site was. John told him were it was. He drove right to the camp site to get those kids safe.
Back at the camp site everyone was worried what was going too happed with out those kids. Everyone thought there was no way they would be alive because they were gone for three hours. Jason’s mom was really scared. “That’s my only little kid” she said.
When the boat arrived everyone was really happy to see that they were alive. When the news got the Maryann she ran to the boat as fast as she can to pick him up. She was crying because she thought he was going to die. She wrapped him a whole bunch of towels to make him warm. Everyone got off the boat with towels wrapped around them.
The owners talked with them for a while. And said how scared they were when they picked them up. The owner said we were just crying, shaking, and shivering. We were really thankful that they would pick our kids up and bring them back to where they belong.
We all thought for a while and said how kids could be out in water for that long and not drown. We just remember that was another miracle that happens every day. We might not notice them but they are there every single day.
