A Ride With a Tire-family folklore-By Jonny Hummer

A long time ago, but not really just like 5 years. In a very far way place, well not really just in Draper. When I was younger my brother and his friend were hiking the mountain that we lived by. That mountain was the size of Texas! While they were hiking they found this huge tire it would take you 4 days just to walk around it. So what they did they thought it would be fun to roll it down this huge mountain. They were sure that one of these trees that make the Redwood trees in California fell small would just stop that tire like it were a pebble. Well a soon as they rolled it down that hill it seemed like that tire had a mind of its very own! It dodged every tree!

They stood there with their mouths open awestruck staring in fear. So then they got up and booked it down the hill like their lives depended on it going after that monstrous tire. As soon as they had gotten to the end of the mountain stared in fear. All they could do know is watch as the tire turned and bounced up the stairs to one of the houses on the street. Then the tire bounced up and knocked the door down like a bowling ball and a bowling pin. The door never had a chance to live on. Once it hit that door it bounced around the house like a kid who had had way to much candy on Halloween.

Then as soon as it busted down the door they ran through the door and saw what terror they had caused. As they walked through the house the people had lived had seen them and had as angry as a momma bear who had just lost the baby and ready to attack them. So then the family who lived there took my brother back to our house which was just a couple houses down the road.

Well I was sure when my brother and his friend walked in through that door with the neighbors that he was going to be grounded for life never be able to leave to house again. My parents came through and asked what was going on! They told and my parents. Man could they have gotten any madder? At that kid I had no clue but they looked like a volcano on verge of exploding! When I say that I mean a really big volcano about to go off. Well he never did get grounded for life. But for 2 months which still I think is a very very long time. After that I he had to go to Home Depot and buy a new door and pretty much a whole new house for them. For all the stuff that the tire had broken. The family had said when that dang tire hit that door that it sounded like an earthquake was going on. They had thought that was what it really was for a while then they noticed that the thing that was knocking all their stuff on the ground was a tire. Man were they mad. Well that is the story of how my brother and his friend got in trouble. This story has been the funniest thing though in our family for years ever since and one of the funniest stories for us.
