The trip

The Trip

One summer just at the right time of year when the water was just right and the campsites were full of people me and my family decided to go to a little town called Butte, Montana. But we decided to make a couple of pit stops in a few towns since this was my first ever vacation. We started on the road but we needed ice so we could keep our drinks in a cooler on the trip. So we stopped at a seven-eleven to get the ice and got some of the best smoothies I have ever had. Then the official adventure began. As we headed towards the Bear lake area, we had hoped to see some animals, but we did not see a single animal that was not domesticated. After we had entered the Town of Bear Lake we stopped at one of the many burger joints in the area and got another one of the best smoothies I have ever had, the famous Bear lake raspberry smoothie. After we had passed the Utah boarder and headed into Idaho territory we got stopped in traffic 4 times!!
Then we came into Wyoming. We looked over an hour for our hotel in Jackson Hole but once we did we went alpine sliding. The next morning we left for Yellow Stone National Park and once we arrived we set up camp and slept. And the next morning in no more than 5:30 me and my step dad left to go see some Buffalo we saw a few here and there than we came back. Later we decided to go to the same spot we saw the buffalo and I saw the most amount of Buffalo I have ever seen, over SIX HUNDRED of the hairy cows. And we saw Old faithful and a few more geysers and left to Montana, yes the good old quiet and come to think of it boring state of Montana. That is till we got to our friends house. After we arrived it was 12:30 PM so we decided to sleep. The morning arrived my cousin and I and wanted to ride the four wheeleroh but did we get a treat. My cousin, I, and our adult friend rode five miles to a beautiful lake. After we got back we waited a couple of hours and rode back to the lake in a car to swim. Man that water was cold though me and the friend got used to it and swam across the whole thing. Then we left to go back to the house.
We had lunch that after noon and after lunch we just relaxed and just stayed calm in hope that the day would never end. Oh but the next mourning everything was rush, rush, rush. As we packed for the road again on the trip back to Utah we knew that the ride home would be boring as the geyser that was supposed to erupt at 9:30 pm in Yellow Stone. So after we left back for Utah we saw many more buffalo, some cattle and again no more animals. After we passed the Idaho border we got some Burger King for lunch and continued on. We took a few minor stops but we did not stop all too much on the way back. And when we finally got onto Utah soil that’s when my back started to hurt for I was so anxious to get home.
We arrived back home about 5:30 pm that day and after we got back nobody talked to each other for the rest of the day because we were so annoyed with each other. So all in all it was a great trip the first of a kind.
