A vacation to remember

Everyone has vacations. If not then that’s really sad! Well most vacations

Are the best and some are the worst but you know life throws whatever curve

Balls it can throw. This trip I would like to say was one of the best, but indeed

It was a curve ball.

The family cabin was one of the most desired places to stay. And any time

My parents would mention the cabin we would immediately take the offer! Well

For this trip we weren’t going with our parents or our brother, instead me and my

My sisters went with my aunt! Which was perfectly fine since my aunt was one of

The fun in the family. By saying that we were headed to the cabin.

The first day up was fantastic! We rode four- wheelers, roasted marsh

Mellows, played cards etc. etc. but one thing we never look forward to is packing

Up and leaving. No one ever wants to leave family vacations, well unless it’s a

Really boring one or one that was miserable or well you get the point.

The day started out fantastic! Everything was going just fine and dandy!!

We were all driving the four – wheelers when it started to rain. It rained and it

For what seemed like an hour! Since we were stuck inside we started to clean

Up the cabin.

My cabin was being sold so this was one of the last times I would ever go!

I wanted it to be the best time of my life! But knowing how un expected life is I

Would never know what was going to happen next. And this was completely

Unexpected!

It rained and rained and we packed and packed. Finally the rain stopped

And the sun came out and was blazing hot (Which might sound strange since it

Had just finished raining). We packed up the car and locked up the cabin. We

All in the car ready to go when my aunt looked at the ignition and there were

No keys. And of course with out keys there was no way home.

We all got out of the car and began to search. We looked up and down

The streets and everywhere for the keys! But they were nowhere to be found.

The sun was getting hotter. Still there were no keys. We searched and searched

For forever and a day! Finally my aunt called my parents and asked them to bring

Extra keys.

We waited for forever until finally my parents little car pulled into our cabin

Drive way. Finally we knew that help had come. We all left without the keys. It

Was one of the worst days of my life!

3 months later

My family had one last chance to visit the cabin before it was going to be sold.

And knowing my parents they took the chance. I was nervous of course

Remembering the last time my family went to the cabin, but still life might be

Better this time!

The trip was amazing of course! We had one of the most special times

Ever! But the last day I will never forget. It of course poured at the cabin! When

Finally the rain stopped. We went outside and much to our amazement there was

A complete rainbow! We took pictures so that we would remember when all of a

Sudden another rainbow bloomed right next to it! It was the most amazing double

Rainbow I had ever seen!

My family was packing up, saving everything we could find. When out of

nowhere my brother shouted YIPEE!! We look over to see him holding the lost

car keys in his hands! The whole family jumped for joy! It had been in the cabin

the entire time! It was one of the most memorable times ever!
