For my favorite song, I chose the song “Breathe” by Taylor Swift. I really like this song. It says the words that I can’t say. It’s actually a duet between Colbie Caillat and Taylor Swift. Colbie Caillat is also one of my favorite artists. I like them because they’re songs mean a lot to me. It’s less of what they’re voice sounds like, and more of what they’re lyrics mean. Which, if you’ve ever listened to Taylor Swift, you know she sings mostly about relationships. I like to listen to pop music and Alternative. Sometimes country. A lot of the times, songs are like advice for me. When I’m in a situation and I don’t really know a way out. I mostly like this song because I can relate to it, in a personal way. Just with real-life situations. My favorite part in it is when the chorus comes, and it says “And we known it’s never simple, never easy, never a clean break, no one here to save me.” I mostly like it because it’s so true! Weather it’s referring to life, or a love-relationship. I really like this song, it means a lot to me!

Madie Marsh is a good friend of mine! I’ve known her since the 4th grade and it’s been great ever since! Her favorite song is called “Us against the world” by Christina Milian. She said that the song really makes her happy. It reminds her of her best friends. One of the lines in the song is “If the sun shuts down, and decided not to shine no more, I would still have you. I personally, have never heard this song but it sounds good. She said that last year, her and her best friends heard the song and decided it’d be their song. So, whenever she hears it – it reminds her of her friends. She tries to listen to it whenever she can, because it makes her feel good! Other than that song, Madie usually listens to pop or alternative music. She really likes this song, because of its real meaning with her friends!

To wrap it up, I’d have to say music to me, means a lot by the lyrics. Especially any Taylor Swift song. Her lyrics just mean a lot to me. Sometimes I really want to say how I feel, but I can’t express those words, and a lot of the time, her songs just do that for me. Sometimes words that we want to say only make sense to us, but with a song, it just says it for you. When you can listen to a song over, and over and over again, constantly thinking about a “certain someone”, you know that the song means a lot to you. With the song “Breathe” and “Us against the world”, music is a lot more that instruments and a singer. It’s the words that are hard to say yourself.
