"Family Folklore" by Kelsey Haydock "The Woodchip Story"

This is a story about my sister Maddie. Maddie loves going over to her friends house and that is where this story begins. Abbey and Maddie are really into smoothies. They have smoothies so much that they have turned the color of the smoothie before. So Maddie went over to Abbey's house one day and she wanted a spectactular smoothie. They desited to go to Walmart. They got the berries, ice cream, and berries. They desited that they would race to see who would get the ingredents first. They got into the scooters the have for older people and went speeding off.

Maddie was in the lead for the first part when she bumped into a guy as big as a doorway and as hairy as a gorilla. He had the devils eyes and looked really strong. Maddie gave out a blood pericing shreek. The big hairy guy walked away and maddie scooted away with her dented in cart. She ran into Abbey who had all the ingredents. They where racing to the cash register. Well maddie lost and they went home.

They went back to Abbey's house and put all the ingredents in the blender, It was overflowing. when they were going to start the blender the doorbell rang. It was Abbey's and Maddie's friend Muscles. They greeted him and then they went inside. When inside they started up the blender and everything refused to blend. Maddie then grabbed a wooden spoon to help everything mix up. When she stuck it in there she heard a loud "Chuchunkkaka!" Maddie looked up at Abbey.

When They took out the spoon it was missing the top half of it. "oops..." Maddie said. Then started to look for the other half of the spoon. When she found it they served the smoothie to everyone. "Cough, cough, choke, choke!" Maddie looked up at her friend muscles to see him pulling something out of his mouth. "uhh...woodchip.." he said. This woodchip was at least "5" inches long. Maddie looked at her smoothie and said "I'm done."

They still had smoothie left so they pored it in a cup and served it to Abbey's dad. When Maddie gave it to him he thanked her and Maddie said "watch out for woodchips." He looked up at her puzzled and said "whaa?" Maddie walked away and he managed to say "MADDIE!!" as he choked. Then all you could hear was a loud laugh.
