"Getting to Know You" By Parker Schofield

The song I chose was "Prayer of the Refugee," by Rise Against. This song is important to me because the band that made it are all vegans and vegetarians who are writing the problems of the world into their songs, telling us we need to fix them. This could be the way to help people go green. This helps me think of ways to not be wasteful like not riding a car everywhere I go. The genre is metal and I like all the instruments used in rock and the way it flows, but the genre wouldn't matter too much for this cause.

I interviewed Nick Miller and the song he chose was "Smoke On the Water," by Deep Purple. He chose this song because it makes him feel happy, he also feels he doesn't need a message to like a song. He likes the rock genre it has for the beat. Luckily he hasn't experienced the situation, which would probably be an burning oil spill in the ocean. He hears this song everywhere and he can't remember the exact first incident he heard the song. HeRemove Formatting from selection doesn't have a favorite part to his song and He's decided there is not a more important part of the song than another.

The things our songs have in common they talk of pollution and they are of the rock genre. Our diffrences are his song is of an occuring burning oil spill and mine is of the already destroyed world that is in need of fixing. Our songs are not the cheeriest of all, but they do send a message that we need to be conservative with the world and need to find alternate fuel sources rather than gasolines and oil.
