Advice NO. 21

Dear Advice,

My family means the world to me. I couldn't imagine anything different with them. But i'm so worried with a family member of mine. He's been doing a lot of drugs lately and i'm extremely scared that he will do to much and get really hurt. Me and him fight a lot, but he's still family and I love him to death. Some family members of mine feel the same way. I've lost two people in my life in the last year loosing a third would be dredful.

I wish he would have had the will power to just say no, like me. But he's obviously doesnt. Like I said i'm scared. I really need to know whether or not to just ignore it or to actually do something about it. Help?

It seems like you are in a very difficult situation. I for one have the same issue with family members doing drugs. For starters it's a good thing to be worried, because you don't want to lose them. If you are in a situation of where you can talk to them about it, do so. If not, let them know you care, show them that they are loved. It's a tough thing to deal with, I must say. Just keep in mind that there is always a solution to problems. Talk with you family about it, I'm sure they can help you.

I have a similar problem in my family. I have tried to help but it didn't realy help. You should try to help this person just because my help didn't help my family member you should atleast try. I now ignore my other side of my family because of the problem but that was my desision nobody else's and it should be your choice to ignore the problem nobody else's. Or im sure you will make the rite desision. Hope this helps...
