Snap Shot Memoir: By Lena Lundwall

We were going to go to Jay Lynn Studio for some family pictures. My brother Geoff was leaving for the military for 5 and one half years, so we wanted some family pictures before he left. Once we got there we had to wait for Dave Updike, our photographer, to download some stuff for the pictures.We started to decide where the pictures were going to be taken at. We decided to go across the street from the studio to this cute little forest. We got a couple of family pictures then we started to do some individual ones.I was first. They turned out very cute. I did some in a tree. There was one on a cute little bridge. Then Geoff was next. He is about 18 and one half. He decided to sit on some rocks by a waterfall. It was very peaceful. I could hear the water running below him. There were lots of trees around him. Mom was talking in the background. Then he smiled. It was a good thing Dave was there to take the picture or that moment would have been lost and that would have been very bad. The rocks were covered with moss from the water. There was a little bird on one of the rocks that was in the picture. It turned out so cute.She is about 10 and one half. She sat on a tree too. Dave kept making her laugh so when he took the picture she was smiling with her cute dimples.Now it’s Hailey and Paul’s tern. Hailey is my older sister. Hailey is about 21 and Paul is either 22 or 23. I’m not sure. Paul is her husband. They have been married about 2 years. We just found out that Hailey is going to have a little boy! We are so excited!!!! Anyways Dave had an idea. He was thinking that Paul could be kissing her belly while Hailey looked down at him. After Dave took the picture, He ran out of film so he had to go back and get more for my mom and dad.When he came back mom and dad were sitting on a tree when Dave just took the picture without them knowing. In the picture they were kissing. It was so precious.Hailey and Paul have a cute black puppy named Izze. She is a Maltipoo, a teacup poodle and a Maltese mixed together. She is so little and so cute! . Dave decided to take a couple of pictures of her on a rock. Dave kept on barking like a dog so Izze would look at the camera. After a while she started to bark back. Dave amazingly got her with her mouth open while she barked. She looked so adorable!There was no other ending to that wonderful, amazing, miraculous day. I had such a fun time with Dave and his funniness. We all love Dave!
